HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBILITY COMPLETE TO DOCK - YOUR VACATION ON PEMAQUID LAKE

Nobleboro House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms + Den, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 8)

The only remaining SUMMER week for 2014 is coming right up starting on June 21 and is a bargain at $1950 for up to 4 people.

Even those with physical limitations can find welcome at Noblehouse, as it was built in 2008 expressly to provide access for the handicapped. Noblehouse is a 3000sq ft. house located on the shore of Pemaquid Lake. The accommodations are fully wheelchair negotiable including a 2008 elevator, wide hallways and a private handicap friendly bathroom. In addition the house is fully air conditioned and heated. Relax in a serene wooded setting with private lake frontage and restful views. Even the dock has a wide gentle ramp. Enjoy morning coffee on the dining area balcony as the sun rises over the water. The area abounds with wonderful hiking including various land trusts and preserves and the Camden Hills State Park. Also available for your enjoyment is the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Pemaquid Point and lighthouse, and the Rockland Public Golf Course. Noblehouse is a NO SMOKING environment.

The living/dining and recreation rooms of Noblehouse are artfully decorated with the warmth and coziness of exposed wood beams and natural oak paneling harvested and recycled directly from the property during construction. Two beautiful stone and masonry fireplaces can be enjoyed from all the common gathering areas including the kitchen and recreation room while large picture windows flood the house with light and provide uncompromising views of the lake. Authentic Maine artwork from local artisans decorate the walls and international antique furniture adds a distinct flare to the decor. Deep waters offer excellent fishing, kayaking, and boating with a public launch nearby.

Whether your goal is to get away to a private retreat for writing, relaxation, and taking in diverse wildlife, or to pursue an active family getaway with lake activities and a convenient location for further exploration, shopping or sightseeing, Noblehouse is within a short drive to Damariscotta, Camden, Rockland, Boothbay Harbor, Bath and Brunswick for antiques, art galleries, shopping, dining, sightseeing boat tours and more.

At Noblehouse we have seasonal per person rates, so please inquire. Your deposit will be either $1000 or one half the total rent, whichever is less. We do accept Visa and Master Card if you are willing to pay an extra 2.75% for that service. Check or cash is preferable. One half the total rent is payable in advance as a deposit to hold your time; the remainder is due on arrival. If you are unable to keep your reservation, we ask that you reschedule at another available time, or we can try to re-rent your dates less a $100 rebooking fee as long as you give us at least 30 days to do so.

GREAT HOUSE, GREAT VACATION!

  • 5 of 5
I can't say enough good things about Nobelhouse! The lake views, the house, the hospitality of the owner and Mary Ellen and Ron were more than we ever expected. The house was perfect and came with everything we needed - linens, towels, BBQ, fire pit, boats, lifevests, etc... The location was terrific too. Close to Boothbay Harbor, Pemiquid Light House and Beach, Damariscotta, and more. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation in Maine - look no further - this house is for you!

GREAT HOUSE FOR A PERFECT SUMMER RETREAT

  • 5 of 5
This is an outstanding summer retreat for a small or large group. In fact, this is the second time that my wife and I have stayed at this home. The home is large, very clean, open, and outfitted with a full kitchen. The view from the large living room on the second floor - adjoining the kitchen - is spectacular.

There are three large bedrooms on the second floor each with its own bathroom and shower. A large living area and office space are located downstairs and offer significant additional sleeping space or room to hang out. The balcony on the second floor is right off the kitchen/living/dining area and overlooks Pemaquid Pond.

The dock is the real winning feature of the house with a table bolted into the dock itself for a cookout with friends right on the water. There are two solid kayaks available and a rowboat (bring a small motor if you have one). The house is equipped with life preservers (child and adult sizes) and paddles/oars for the boat. We brought our own kayaks and there was plenty of dock space to tie up. The fishing is terrific and for the more avid kayak/canoe enthusiasts, explore the channel that connects Pemaquid Pond with Duck Paddle Pond.

The house is also located in a perfect location. It is conveniently located about 10 minutes away from Damariscotta, which is a neat little village with everything you need: shopping, Schooner's Landing, and a seafood market that is one of the best I've visited. The lobsters, mussels, clams are absolutely fresh. And, you have your joice of jumbo or select Pemaquid Oysters that are raised in the waters locally - and are world class. You're a short distance from Rockport - check out Shepherd's Pie - and Rockland. Camden isn't too far either and we suggest checking out Harbor Dogs.

My wife and I were engaged on the shore of this property in 2010 and married in 2011 in Maine. It simply made sense for us to take our hard-earned vacation at the same spot with a few good friends on our one year anniversary. This is a great and comfortable place to spend some time relaxing.

We look forward to another visit in the future.

My husband and I spent the week of Sept, 5-13, 2009 in this magnificent home with its wonderfull lake. We were met by Ron who manages the property as well as the owner. They could not have been any nicer. The house was well stocked with everything you might ever need. They had all kinds of boats, row, canoe, kayaks for use on the water, which we used almost daily. The location was excellent as well. Great walking trails within 10 minutes of the house and all major attractions within 20 minutes. I would highly recommend this property. We loved staying there so much, we look forward to our next visit hopefully next year.
Thanks again to Ron and Ziggy for making our stay a wonderfull experience. Nicole & Sy

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT & FULLY EQUIPPED LAKE RETREAT

Absolutely perfect & fully equipped lake retreat
  • 5 of 5
This rental is a dream come true!! Our family called last minute due to a quick change of plans, & Mary Ellen & Ron did more than one can ever expect to accommodate our relatives. The pictures on the web site do not do this property justice as the post & beam work is top-notch, the furnishings are gorgeous, & the hospitality they showed us was unrivaled. The house & property are very well maintained, clean & safe for both the very young & elderly alike. There were more than enough boats to use, plenty of fish just jumping around in front of the dock for the men to catch, & the numerous loons all contributed to a peaceful & scenic week. Our 2 year old had a blast as well as my husband's grandparent's so this is a special place for anyone to stay. Thank you for everything & we will be sure to book in the future if/when our family comes into town for a visit!

Noblehouse is on the Pemaquid Lake in the Mid-Coast region. Nearby Damariscotta is a favored place to shop. Also, we are 1/2 - 3/4 hour drive from Camden (famous for tall ships and sea-captain homes), Rockland (art museums and galleries), Rockport, and Boothbay Harbor (art and fishing), all quaint harbors with multiple cruises and fishing expeditions available. New Harbor is a tiny safe-hole right off the open ocean. Pemaquid Point offers quintessential rock cliffs with crashing surf, lighthouse tours, and a quaint sandy beach. The area abounds with antique shops, artist studios, live theatre, and hiking in preserves. Gambling is in Bangor, winery tours are in Lincolnville, and Acadia National Park is about 3 hours 'down east' which is sailing lingo for 'down wind to the northeast.' If you tire of relaxing 'away-from-it-all' in your house on the lake, you will not be at a loss for something else to do.

Other Activities: Shelling, Downhill/Alpine/Cross country skiing, snowmobiling, boating, mini golf, kayaking, snowboarding, wildlife viewing, Health/Beauty Spa
