This place has a big problem. It's that the time to go comes way too soon. No more breakfast on the patio overlooking a beautiful lake. No more glass of wine on the dock watching the sunset. Its so easy to get used to sleeping a bit later in a comfortable bed, and listening to the quiet noise of up north woods. If you believe in synergy, this place has it. The sum of the parts (well equipted, clean, roomy) exceeds to sum of the whole. Besides being a place you want to be, its also the state of mind you want to have. This is what family vacations and family goodtime memories are made of.
I do need to be fair about one thing, the steps. There are about 15-20 from the car to the cottage, and 20-25 from the cottage to the water. It was no problem for us, and the kids, but the Grandparents found it to be the only negative. We went to the dock many times during the day, they only went down for a dip in the lake, and a cocktail in the evening.
