Straight out of Coastal Living Magazine. Very Unique Post and Beam Home on the Sound only 5 minutes to the beach. Property consists of the main house, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a detached 2 car garage. A studio apt. above the garage has a full bath, kitchenette and a separate entrance. 2400 square ft. Large lot with privacy and beautiful mature trees including a towering weeping willow. dogwoods, holly, crepe myrtles and a wonderful fruit bearing fig.The back yard on the water has flagstone patio under the willow, Romantic lights twinkle in the trees at night creating a wonderful outdoor living space. Bulk headed with private dock. The house faces west with huge water views and amazing sunsets. The best swimming in the Outer Banks is right off your dock. The water is about 3-4 feet deep at the dock and has a sandy bottom, warm all the time and no need to worry about currents or critters. The Sound is a shallow body of water even 200 yards from the dock and is perfect for kids.

Home does not need a pool as the water at your own dock is warm with no currents and clean with a flat sandy bottom about 3- 4 feet deep and perfect for small children ( No critters! )

Quiet and Private Property for family fun: Fenced rear gardens with shaded flagstone patio and flowers everywhere, Really charming Outside Shower with water views, Private Boat Dock, Nags Head Hammock tucked into the landscaping right by the water, Kayaks. Yard games including volley ball, badminton and more Deck/Patio: 2 outdoor areas, one attached to the house with dining area. Wonderful flagstone patio under the weeping willow, At night the backyard is a paradise, lit by wonderful lighting including Chinese lanterns and romantic strings of white lights woven into the boughs of mature trees

Family friendly but great for entertaining : Kid Friendly: Very quiet and safe street with only waterfront homes and no thru traffic. Warm water 3-4 feet deep no currents for great swimming. Better and safer than the ocean for small children.Owner is a chef/Caterer and kitchen is designed for cooking for large groups and is open to the rest of the home. Office with internet and printer, Private residence until 2007, decorated with art and comfortable seating areas.

We loved this home. It was perfect for our family, including our dog. The house was very well equipped and very comfortable. The location to the Outer Banks shopping, sightseeing, etc was perfect.
