This adorable 1 bedroom cottage is located on a quiet, private back lane in the village of Rockport. The cottage is set among several other homes, with gardens and old trees. A 10 minute walk takes you to the village’s shops, bookstore, art cinema, restaurants and galleries. The neighborhood beach is a short walk down a gravel lane. The Orchard House features a great room style kitchen and living room; cable TV, DVD and WiFi Internet, sleep sofa are included. Both the bedroom and great room have built in gas wall heaters to take the chill off the the early summer or fall evenings. Kitchen includes: stove, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and cooking implements. Queen bed. Porta-crib. Full Bathroom. Washer/Dryer. The cottage offers shared association use of an in-ground pool and comes with two bicycles, beach chairs and towels, and a gas grill.

I'd rather not write a review as I don't want to risk not being able to have time I'd like there next August, but the owner is such a nice person and deserves good business. It's small but quite comfortable, in a very quiet neighborhood. When we were there, hardly anyone else was using the pool so it was almost like having the pool to ourselves. We had everything we needed in the cottage, except there was a slight shortage on spoons. It's far enough away from downtown Rockport to be private, but an easy walk to all the shops. I looked at several other options to rent in Rockport and Gloucester, and this was by far the nicest place - Highly Recommended!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
