Recreation:
Dock your personal watercraft or boat just outside the door on the canal. Easy boating access to the Assawoman Bay and Ocean City. Run or bike along the well marked trails on Ocean Highway. Walk or bike to the beach, into Bethany or to the close by gourmet market, pizza parlor or ice cream shops. Lounge or swim at South Bethany's newly refurbished, guarded beach. Kids will love to crab or fish from the dock, ride one of the four bikes provided or shoot hoops. Kayak over to the small tributaries in the Wildlife Preserve or use the binoculars to sit and enjoy nature right from your chair. Shop or take a quaint day trip to nearby Lewes. Plenty of local watersports; swimming, boogie boarding, jet skiing, crabbing, clamming, fishing, parasailing. Golf courses nearby include Bear Trap, Cripple Creek, and Salt Pond. Visit the local health club where you can purchase daily or weekly passes or better yet- just relax!
Perfect Family Time:
Two living areas allows kids/teens to have their own space so mom and dad don't have ask them to turn it down. The colorful interior is cheerful and comfortable. The kitchen affords plenty of cooking utensils and serving pieces for even the gourmet cook and a variety of grocery and liquor stores are within a 5 mile radius. Local restaurants are excellent and as plentiful as they are varied. The dead end street allows a safe area for bike riding or skateboarding. Kids will love going to rides on the Rehobeth or Ocean City boardwalks or challenging mom and dad to a putt putt match. Tweens will love the freedom of going into Bethany to see the summer crowds. Young adults are just a short taxi ride from the Dewey and Ocean City nightlife. Read or take a nap on the breezy screen porch or just spend the day getting tan at the beach. Take an outside shower. Most importantly, don't miss the spectacular sunsets you will see from the decks.
Should the weather not cooperate:
If the weather should choose not to cooperate, you will find a large selection of games, books, and puzzles to entertain you. Check out the local theatre or sit on the screened porch and watch the lightning show. Head to Rehobeth and shop at one of the 140 outlet stores. Nap in one of the comfy serenity beds by Serta.
