Absolutely Beautiful

I stayed here with my boyfriend and two other couples for three nights and four days, and it was *so much more* amazing than we could have possibly anticipated. The cottage is so cozy and welcoming -- we felt right at home from the moment we stepped in. The living room is perfect for sitting around in the evening when outside got too cool, and the kitchen is very easy to cook in and well arranged. The bedrooms were warm and the beds so comfortable -- even the bunk beds! Everything in the description was right on and we were still blown away by the house and surrounding property when we got there. The view is spectacular at any time of day, and I've so rarely seen so many stars at night. We had such a good time exploring the lake, both at day and night, and had a great time swimming (the water gets pretty warm!). We spent the entire time at the cottage itself -- we had big plans to go on hikes and explore the area, but we had such an incredible time taking the boats out, lounging around outside, making bonfires, swimming, grilling, and staring at the scenery that we had no need to leave. As my boyfriend said, "A mark of a good vacation is that you can do the same thing every day and never get bored."
Moreover, the whole trip was so relaxing and easy because Beatrice is such a gracious and honest owner. She made the entire process of setting up a rental, making sure we knew everything we should about the area beforehand, and arriving and staying at the cottage so seamless. I would absolutely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a rural and relaxing vacation away from it all -- but watch out, you'll have a hard time leaving!
