A treasure in Waikiki

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful unit for three nights. The owners obviously put a lot of thought and care into furnishing the unit and making it very comfortable and unique. It was great waking up in the morning and eating breakfast with a view of the ocean and watching the passing boats in the distance. The kitchen was very well equipped and the appliances were very clean. There was plenty of storage for our clothes and toiletries. We loved being able to put all our toiletries on the glass shelves near the sink in the bath area, instead of cluttering up the surface next to the sink. The unit was very quiet and we never heard anyone in the hallway or in any other unit.

Because we stayed only three nights, we didn't have enough time to take advantage of all of the Banyon's facilities. However, from our unit we were able to see people enjoying the large pool, tennis courts, and BBQ area. There is even a play structure for tots. We did use the free parking that the condo provides, which is a terrific benefit in Waikiki. The location was excellent, and we were able to walk to the many shops and restaurants in the area. As far a we're concerned, this is one of the best values you can find in Waikiki, and it will be our first choice to stay when we return.

Dirty Condo

The building location is convenient. Definitely a place for families.

The primary problem was lack of proper management care. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty we ended up washing everything. The kitchen appliances are very old and disqusting. It was listed has having a dishwasher which it did not have. The bathroom stall hadn't been washed in awhile it was covered in soap residue and so were all the bathroom faucets. The sofa bed is broken. Some of the bedding had stains.

Pricing seemed fair, but once we saw the condition of the condo, it was not worth the money.

Hard to imagine what they are doing with the cleaning fee.

I tell all guests if things in the unit aren't the way they should be, please call me immediately so that I can get people in to right the wrongs. It's what I would do if I were not happy. I will double check the listing to make sure that it does not list a dishwasher. All of the sheets and linens were replaced within one month of your arrival. We replaced our A/C unit in December, repairs were made to lamps. Sorry, we left the CLR on the plumbing fixtures. Guys' vacation

This was a vacation that consisted of 6 guys including myself for seven nights. It was recommended for four guests but it was able to make a snug fit for all of us with room to spare. The kitchen was very well stocked and clean, as well as the bathroom. The view was awesome! The laundry room is conveniently located a few rooms down. Steve provided us with beach chairs, cooler and an umbrella which were very useful.

We basically chose this place because the price is very reasonable, especially for 6 guys who were looking to save as much money as possible, so we could spend it on other activities that Hawaii had to offer. The free parking helped out a lot, we even rented 6 mopeds, which they allowed for us to park (just had to squeeze them all within one car spot.) We used their basketball court everyday in the morning for our cardio. Best part was that mostly everything is walking distance the beach, restaurants, bars, clubs, mopeds, stores and car rentals. I would also recommend the restaurant Tiki's (you can see it from the lanai) they have great food and service.

The only thing that we had a problem with, was the sofa bed. The mattress seems to be lumpy and some of the springs keeping it up are missing. Sometimes the mattress would fall.

Overall, we all enjoyed our trip incredibly. We would definitely consider returning here again.

What a superb find!!! I work for the airlines, so we never know when/where we may end up. We feel very fortunate we landed in Honolulu, and that we found Steve (High). In all of my experiences with hotels, I have NEVER run across anyone as helpful as Steve. Even though there was on oddity going on on Waikiki at the time we visited (rooms were booked to 95%), Steve worked tirelessly to help find us a place to stay (we were a group of 5, which posed an addition challenge). We ended up for a couple of nights at the Waikiki Banyan and couldn't have been happier. We were very comfortable, we felt right at home and did NOT want to check when it was time to. The sleeping arrangements were great, we loved having the full kitchen with ALL of the necessities, having an array of beach towels, snorkel gear and boogie board, cooler, beach chairs............. Can you get that we were VERY, VERY pleased!!!!!!!!

IF we ever have the luxury of planning a trip ahead of time, we will definitely be in touch with Steve again, and hope to get to stay at the Banyan, or any of your other properties he has to offer.

A rare gem in busy Waikiki

I have been to Hawaii on 8 previous visits and this was by far the best experience yet.. The Banyan is the ideal location for all types of vacationers from honeymooners to a family of 6 . The condo had plenty of room with everything you could posssibility need to make your stay pleasant. I started each morning enjoying several cup of wonderful Kona coffee and a view of the beautiful ocean before starting out on our adventures around the island .We rented a car for the entire stay (a parking permit is available for each unit) but didn't use it everyday. We were close to so many places, we enjoyed walking or riding The Bus (which takes you all around the island-- good information for ist time visitors) or when we wanted to go to certain restaurants where parking is hard to find .My teen age granddaughters especially enjoyed the pool and I could keep an eye on them from the balcony. I enjoyed watching flamilies enjoying themselves playing basketball, tennis, the minature putting green and grilling in the afternoon. It is very rare to find a place that has all of those facilities available in one location.

Steve, I want to personally thank you for going out of your way to make sure our stay at your condo was everything I could have wished for and more. I will definately recommend your unit to all of my friends. Being from the south, we are noted for our hospitally and I must include you and Jay in our "group" because you certainly outdid yourselves in that category.

Again, thanks for providing us with everything we needed for a wonderful and pleasant family vacation.

A True Gem in Waikik

Our family just returned from another wonderful vacation in Hawaii. We can truly say that the condo was by far the best accommodations we have ever stayed in. The condo was very spacious for our family of 4, plenty of room for the little ones. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed and more. The view from the lanai was awesome! We really loved that the condo even had beach chairs, an umbrella, sand toys, and beach towels... These were very convenient extras that came with the condo. The free parking was wonderful, we never had any trouble finding a place to park and the spaces were large (something hard to come by in Waikiki). The walk to the beach was short and easy, even with 2 little ones. Elevators were quick. Kiddos enjoyed the play area a few times. The condo is situated on the quieter side of Waikiki. This suited us well. We've stayed all over Waikiki in quite a few different Hotels and rentals. Without a doubt this was the best accommodations yet. Thank you so much Steve! We'll be calling on you again. Mahalo!
