Waikiki Vacation Rental condo

Our condo was extremely clean and very easy to find. The location was great. A short walk to the beach. The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed to cook a meal. Not that I did I was on vacation. We were always able to find a parking space. That was great. We would stay at this condo again. Everything was within walking distance. The pool and bar-be-que were well maintained and easy to access. There were plently of towels and beach towels. We were able to use the laundry facilities whenever we needed them. My husband and son favorite part was how close it was to the Cheeseburger in Paradise resturant. My sons favorite place to eat. Getting in was so easy. I would recommend possibly two keys inside the condo just incase the family wanted to split up and go seperate ways during the day. Otherwise, great condo, great service by Steve.

I made the reservation several months ago and everything went smooth. About 7 days before our arrival I hadn't heard anything from the agent about how to access the unit, etc. I sent an email and after 3 additional days with no response I called. I was told the code, etc. We arrived on the afternoon of the 23rd. The unit was clean and appeared to be in good condition. The view is nice. After settling in, we realized that there were no beach chairs or coolers as described in the listing. I phoned the agent and left a message. Never heard back. The next morning I phoned again and was told that they would be brought to me that day. After a day at the Dole Plantation we returned and nothing was left. The agent arrived in shorts & no shirt, handed me 2 chairs and (1) cooler. I also had emailed regarding daily maid service that is clearly listed in their adverisement. The reply said that I wasn't staying in a hotel but a condo and the laundry room is down the hallway. I was clearly aware of our accomodations but having seen maids each day and the fact that it was listed in their advertisement we believed that it was included. All I really wanted were clean towels, so we just washed the towels ourselves. The bathtub has a leak problem. No matter what we tried the floor would end up soaked after just a brief shower. The a/c worked well for the main area but not the bedroom area at all. It was well stocked with cooking supplies with the exception of a skillet. Everything else was satisfactory. The location is central to most needs. For the price, couldn't really beat it. We were able to eat breakfast and lunch(or pack a lunch once we received the cooler) for our day outings and we even cooked dinner one night. The other thing that should be noted is that although there are BBQ's there is a $2hr charge to use them. All of that should be disclosed. Overall my family did enjoy themselves. Would we stay there again? Probably......Would I recommend it to a friend? Probably if they couldn't find another place with similiar amenities.

Tip to travelers: We loved the Pearl Harbor area, North Shore, Kalua Ranch, and most of all watching our son play baseball.

This was our first time in Hawaii and we usually stay in hotels because of our young children so we didn't know what to expect. When we arrived at the airport we called as requested. We didn't know how to get to the unit and the agent, although friendly, did not provide accurate directions at all. We had to pay for parking when we were told parking would be free. It wasn't til we called again that the agent told us there was a parking pass in our unit that needed to be on our windshield. The unit was clean on arrival except the AC wasn't on so it took 4 hours to cool it down (would have been nice if they had turned it on knowing we were coming.) The #1 thing that was very important for me was to have the pack n play there when we arrivedvfor our 11 month old. Sent several emails before weleft for our trip. Was reassured that it would be there. Was told at the airport it would be there before we arrived. It was not there and it didn't arrive til 2 hours later! By then we had an extremely cranky baby. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The floor was constantly damp. There were several flying cock roaches after I had asked the agent before hand if there were any.. We were told that we could stay til 6pm because our flight didn't leave til 9pm and we needed a place for the kids to nap. The agent forgot and made us stay with our inlaws so there were 10 people in 1 cramped unit instead of opening another unit due to his error or giving us a partial refund. That was very unprofessional. Plus the other guests showed up early in the morning to tell us they were told the unit was theirs. I tried to call the agent back at least 20 times for 4 hours to inform him of the situation and he was not answering. In the past he was quick to answer. He purposely wasn't answering the phone. I felt the agent was too laid back about everything and a lot of information was left out so that we had to find out the very last minute. I would have liked a refund. It was not a good experience and I wouldn't recommend staying here.
