Walking Distance to Everything!--And Very Safe!:
From Villa Les Cours you can walk to the museums (one block away), walk to the 24 hour Super Mega Grocery Store (Nicest Store in all of San Juan one block away) You can walk to the Beach (only 2 blocks away), you can walk to Starbucks only 3 blocks away. You can walk to the Casinos and Hotels that are within 5 or 6 blocks from the Villa. You can Walk to Gucci and Christian Dior Stores only 6 blocks away. You could even walk to Old San Juan if you are into walking like me.
Also the area is very safe and there is private gated indoor parking. The Villa is right around the corner from the Double Tree Hotel--and there are great restaurants in the area. One of my favorite is the French Bistro that is almost directly across the street from the San Juan Art Gallery--great food!
There is so much to see and do in Puerto Rico that the unaware visitor might be overwhelmed and end up missing some of the best sights the island --email me for more about where to go.
Shopping, Wonderful Beaches and Great Food!:
Just over the bridge from Old San Juan and Puerta de Tierra, Condado is a fashionable place to call home. Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Ferragamo are among the names you'll see on the storefronts here. Sophisticated bistros and restaurants draw lively crowds at night. And the beach is always popular. Interestingly, Condado's hotels don't follow the high-end trend; you can find great deals that put you in the heart of San Juan's ritziest neighborhood.
You have a few choices on which beach to hit in San Juan. There is the El Escambrón public beach nearby one of the cleanest and nicest beaches in all of Puerto Rico. And because the beach is right in front of you. You can't go wrong with El Escambron Beach, but some people also like the Ocean Park Beach for its laid back ambiance. Nearby, Punta Las Marías Beach is a haven for surfers.
