2BR/2.5BA Sleeps 6 Gulf Views

Upon arriving at the rental we discovered the cleaning crew in the upstairs. We left our luggage and when returning we found the rental had not even been clean. The kitchen counters had food debris and stains from glasses spilling. The floors had not been swept and there was visible debris on the floor. The bathrooms smelled of urine and the showers had used soap remains and had not been cleaned. The bathrooms had dirty towels on the sink and back of doors. We then discovered that the washer and dryer were full and we had to do the laundry. Water bottle and cigarette butts were found on the patio. The sinks had debris and obviously had ashes dumped in them. The slats to the blinds in both the livingroom and upstairs bedroom had many missing pieces leaving wide open view into the unit during evening hours. The problem was so bad as the rental faced a busy thoroughway, with vehicle and foot traffic. Our daughter stayed in the room and we had to keep the lights off to keep privacy of any type. We called the owners about the issues and it took them four days to resolve the issues with the slats and over a day to re-clean the rental. We were told by the owners that we would be compensated for the issues and it took six weeks just to get our deposit back and we never were compensated for any of the issues. The rental had only one wicker chair and a small couch in the livingroom. We had to move patio furniture in just to accomodate a family of four. Then we had to keep the lights off because of the missing slats in the blinds exposing the livingroom to passerbys. The rental had been pained too, haphazardly with paint stains from the wall on the ceiling and left a very unsightly mess. We have been coming to Destin and Miramar Beach for eleven years and this is the worse stay we have ever experienced. My wife and I own rental properties as well, but in Ohio. We were embarassed to say the least in this rentals condition and the lack of concern by the owners. We will never rent from these owners again nor will we stay at the Costa Vista again. Very, Very disappointing.

Location! Location! Location! We have stayed at other condos on this beach but this townhouse was the best. Our 14 year old daughter brought a friend this year and it worked out great! They had their own bedroom and bath and could stay up late watching movies on the LARGE TV without keeping us awake. We even felt safe for them to go across the street to the beach without us and they could go to the pool anytime.

A few interior updates need to be made...:( New blinds please! The bedrooms are too bright. We finally put sheets up over the large window. It was very difficult to sleep past 6 a.m. ugh! Paint colors, furniture, etc. need a refresh! Dishes, pans, etc. also need repleneshing.

Our family of 5 loved this condo! We have three girls and we spread out all over this three level house. The walk to the beach is very short and very convenient. We used the pool everyday and it was never crowded. The location is so close to everything in Destin and we even walked to Pompano Joe's for dinner one night. The balconies are fun- we ate meals out there the whole week. The kitchen is very functional and our girls loved the bar off of the kitchen. About the only negative thing about the condo is that it is in need of updating- it needs some freshening up. Overall, we loved staying here! It was both restful and enjoyable!
