Poor Experience - Would not recommend

I would not recommend renting this property for several reasons:
1. The listing for this house falsely advertises central air. There is only central air upstairs. There is no central air in the downstairs kitchen, dining room and living room areas.
2. After using the washing machine, our clothes had brown stains on them, some so bad that they had to be thrown away. Attempts to contact the owner regarding this matter went unanswered.
3. Don't expect to get your security deposit back. It was a beautiful sunny day when we left for the beach. Later in the afternoon, a severe thunderstorm unexpectedly rolled in. By time we got back to the beach house, we noticed that the umbrella in the glass patio table in the backyard had fallen over and shattered the table. I contacted the owner immediately and was told to clean up the glass. My husband and I spent over an hour cleaning up the mess. The owners replaced the glass with plexiglass, apparently realizing they shouldn't have had a glass table to begin with, and took the cost out of our security deposit, with no explanation. Repeated attempts to contact the owner to discuss went unanswered. He doesn't respond to e-mails and his kids screen his phone calls at home.
So, because of the above, I would rate my overall experience with this rental property as poor and would not recommend this house to anyone.
Owner's Response: The house has central air upstairs, and window units in the downstairs bedrooms.
None of the other renters, before or since have had trouble with the washer. Our cleaning service ran three loads of white linens through the machine without incident. We are just back from a three week stay and had no trouble with the machine.
We expect our renters to close windows and lower the picnic umbrella when they leave the vicinity and are unable to return to the house in the event of a storm. On the day in question, severe thunderstorms were forecast.
