Fully furnished, gas fireplace, flagstone patio and walkway through a lilac grove. Cedar decks and master balcony overlook dune grass with sunset views to the Merrimack and Newburyport. Available Sept. through June, $1800/month. Very special, with surprising privacy.

Watch the Waves from 'Another World': The sun rises out of the sea and sets over the Newburyport skyline from the decks and windows of this sunny and spacious home. Views of The Basin and the Merrimack River, which is steps away, ideal for kayaking at high tide, nature study when the tide is out. With decks, patios, and privacy plantings, the outdoor landscape is as inviting as the interior. Bikes and kayaks are available, at tenant's risk. Gas grill and covered patio area ideal for picnics. Comfy year round with gas fireplace and one car garage.

Ideal winter rental September through June.: With three bedrooms on the top floor, 6 people sleep in beds on that level. A queen sized sofa bed in the living room and a daybed on the lower level can be used for spill-over guests. The second bath and laundry are also located on the lower level, ideal when you come in salty and sandy from the beach.

Biking and birding available: Plum Island is perfect for bikes, with the Parker River Wildlife Refuge encompassing the 7 miles south of Plum Island center, home of many bird and animal species. Or head north to the Lighthouse and mouth of the Basin for even more fun.
