Completely renovated Cape Cod style house features a well appointed kitchen with gas cook top and granite counters. There are hardwood and tile floors throughout the house which includes a formal dining room and office. The large ground floor office has an HDTV, full sofa bed and 1/2 bath and could be used as a fourth bedroom. Master bedroom with king bed and private bath downstairs. Two large bedrooms with a shared bath upstairs - one bedroom with queen and one with twin beds. All rooms have large windows and good natural light throughout.

Located on James Island, this charming, inviting house is in a safe, quiet neighborhood on a street lined with live oaks. It is on an extra wide lot with privacy and parking for 2 cars - room for parking a boat. The neighborhood is adjacent to the Stono River and Intercoastal Waterway and has a public boat ramp within walking distance from the house. The property is well landscaped with lush mature native plants. Relax with a drink on the screened porch with ceiling fan!

The neighborhood is adjacent to the Charleston City Golf Course, minutes to causeway to Johns Island and Kiawah Island and is less than fifteen minutes to Downtown and Folly Beach.

The house is available for 3-7 day rental, weekly rentals or monthly rentals. It is a great house & location for a relaxing getaway/vacation to the Charleston area. Not in the hustle bustle of downtown, but close and convenient access.

It could also be a perfect solution for a temporary need for a furnished home in the Charleston vacinity. If you are relocating to the area and are house hunting or waiting for an escrow to close or have sold a house and need to move out, this would be a comfortable well-equiped home to help with the transition. The house is easily accessible to MUSC and would be a flexible housing solution for out of town patients or family members.

We grew up in South Carolina and have immediate family living in the Charleston area. We love historical downtown and the nearby beaches and waterways.

With family and friends scattered throughout the country, we have hosted numerous reunions. The great weather, restaurants, golfing, sightseeing destinations, and shopping opportunities have provided activities for everyone. We always like to have at least one fishing/boating outing and have out-of- towners discover the water wildlife, marshes and low country waterways. The house and neighborhood are relaxing, peaceful places to return after busy outings downtown.

FEELS LIKE HOME

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. The home is clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We were 2 couples here to visit Charleston for the first time, so our days were full of sightseeing and tourist things and it was nice to have a comfortable home for relaxing in the evening. We had one small maintenance problem (couldn't get the microwave to work) that was taken care of promptly. We would highly recommend this home for a visit to Charleston.

FABULOUS HOME AND NEIGHBORHOOD!!

For the last few years my husband and I have been using VRBO for many of our vacation spots. Because of that I have learned to be very picky about the places we rent and the owners we rent from. For the most part they have been okay but with the increase of listings on the site I think you really have to be careful. From day one Ellen was one step ahead of me. Never vacationed in Charleston I thought at first I wanted to be downtown close to the action. WRONG! It was so nice and relaxing to come back to this wonderful home and neighborhood at the end of a busy day. Walking the area was not only beautiful but peaceful. I almost wanted to pretend we lived there everyone was so friendly. You can tell the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make their home very comfortable with all the conveniences you would need. Ellen knew we were getting in late so she had left us some food items. Boy was that great since we didn't know the area yet. There are also some really good restaurants close by. Fat Hen for brunch, Mustard Seed was also excellent. We could get in the car and be downtown within 10-15 min. I would not hesitate to stay here again and hope that we will!!

PERFECT HOUSE

What a beautiful and wonderfully comfortable house!!! Everything is here that you could possibly need. The owner has thought of everything. Upon rental the owners provided me with a bucket list of things to do and see in the area which was most helpful. Also there is a large selection of take out menus for nearby restaurants which was wonderful to have upon arrival since we were all hungry but certainly did not want to go out after a full day of traveling.
This property is very close to downtown (10 minutes by car) and all the city has to offer but is also far enough away to enjoy some quite and private time. The side porch was a wonderful place have a nice cup of coffee or tea and nice book. My husband and son enjoyed riding the bikes in the neighborhood and the near by park.
The house is perfect for a family vacation, a girl's get away, a couples vacation, a prolonged business stay in the area...really for any one who is traveling to this area. We certainly hope it is available for us when we return for another stay in a great vacation spot.

GREAT PROPERTY!

The charm of this house is what drove our decision to stay here and we were not disappointed! We were a group of Moms looking for a weekend get away at a reasonable price, clean facilities, plenty of room and good amenities and this property met all of our needs.
We only had one car but there was ample parking for more than one car if needed. The owner left lights on for us since we arrived at night which was great since the street is residential and a little dark. Upon entering we found the house to be clean and very spacious. The office is much larger than it looks from the photos and offered a great space to get work done and could have been an alternate room for kids to watch TV.
There are a variety of movies to watch, books to read and take out menus for local restaurants. The house was well stocked with all needed supplies - paper products, plates, cleaning products, hair dryers, shampoo, etc...There were also extra sheets, towels and blankets.
The location was very convenient to downtown Charleston taking no more than 20 minutes during low traffic times. There is a Publix, CVS, Starbucks and bagel shop, all nearby so made it very convenient to pick up last minute items and grab a quick breakfast on the way out of town.
Instructions were left for operating the TV and DVD player as well as what to do when leaving the property.
We really enjoyed our stay and would stay at this property again!
