A well maintained cottage at the tip of a secluded tidal cove of the Damariscotta River, home to heron, osprey, horseshoe crabs and the occasional seal. The cottage is on a private road just 1 mile from downtown Damariscotta, where you’ll find wonderful restaurants, cafes, shops, bookstore, a farmers’ market, etc. Enjoy beautiful views down the river, including Hog Island, home to two bald eagles. Morning sun, with afternoon shade and a wonderful river breeze keeps the temperature comfortable. Dock provides water access except at low tide (approximately half of each day) for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Kayak into town or to Dodge Point in about 30 minutes.

Cottage is on a secluded dirt road just 1 mile from downtown Damariscotta. Just a 15-minute drive from Pemaquid Beach (the best beach in Mid-Coast) and fort, Pemaquid Lighthouse, Rachel Carson Saltwater Estuary, ferry service from New Harbor, etc. Tons of hiking trails within 30 minutes, including Dodge Point. 30 minutes from Boothbay Harbor and Bath, 45 minutes from Camden. Portland is 50 miles away. Huge Hannaford’s grocery store within 5 minute drive. Very friendly, year-round neighbors.
