Come and let your cares float away as you relax on the enormous first-floor front porch or 2nd floor open deck. Both locations of this charming 100+-years-old home look out onto the beautiful Nantucket Sound. Once inside, you'll be greeted by quaint and comfortable accommodations that feature period furniture, including an over-sized living room, formal dining room, fully-equipped kitchen, 5 bedrooms and one and 1/2 baths. The seagull bedroom and grape bedroom both have doors opening onto the 2nd floor deck. After a day of sun and sand, come home and enjoy the open-to-the-sky, large outdoor shower--a particularly enjoyable experience not to be missed!

Stroll for less than 1 mile and you will find yourself in the very Victorian town of Oak Bluffs, where you'll find basic necessities as well as a variety of entertainment venues. Have a bite to eat on the docks overlooking the harbor or take a turn on the famous 'Flying Horses' carousel, or simply enjoy some shopping in the boutiques and specialty stores along Circuit Avenue. Just a few minutes' walk east will take you to the East Chop Beach and Yacht Club. Just beyond these you will find Jetty beach which is open to the public. Walk west instead, along scenic East Chop Drive, and you will find yourself at the landmark East Chop lighthouse.

We have been vacationing in this delightful home for many years and have experienced only wonderful stays. It would be nearly impossible not to relax, given the tranquil surroundings and comfortable accommodations. Inside or out, a lovely view of the water can be had from practically every room. At night, with the windows and upper deck doors open, the sound of the water gently lulls you to sleep. On a sunny afternoon, a glass of wine, cheese with crackers and crudités on the upper deck--it doesn't get any better than that! Plus, with the conveniences of the town and beach only an easy walk away, the only time you might need a car would be to go touring up island, though there are plenty of other transportation alternatives available for those purposes. We plan to continue our stays at this property. You simply cannot go wrong with its location, beauty and charm.

Spectacular view from porch or upper deck

What a lovely traditional Victorian home in which to relax and enjoy a spectacular view of the beautiful Nantucket Sound! We enjoyed the multiple opportunities for viewing the water from both the lower porch and upper deck as well as views from all the bedrooms. The home was clean and well maintained and the period furniture allowed us to forget the hectic life of the modern world and relax in a quiet and nostalgic atmosphere. A short walk to a public beach was a plus and an easy paced longer walk allowed us to enjoy the town of Oak Bluffs without dealing with the traffic congestion. Sitting on the upper deck enjoying appetizers and drinks while watching the boats come and go in the Sound was a real plus in this relaxing vacation experience. The large private outside shower was a delightful experience. We would definitely stay again and also highly recommend this vacation home to a friend.
