Spent a wonderful weekend in this cabin with dear friends. There was so much to do and such a beautiful setting. The cabin is spotlessly clean, has bicycles, kayaks, tubes and a pool table. We enjoyed the bicycles and will be back to kayak and tube when weather warmer. Thank you for sharing such an idyllic spot.

Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5
This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay, inside and out! The rental process was extremely easy and the owners were great to work with. This home is much more than described. It was very clean and well equipped with everything you need. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for your belongings. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the river...very peaceful and serene. The hot tub was defineitly an added bonus too!!! If you're looking for a clean, relaxing, and comfortable getaway, then this is your place!!! I will defineitly stay again!!!!

Rest & Relaxation for Valentines

Rest & Relaxation for Valentines
  • 5 of 5
We rented this cabin from Feb. 14-16, 2014 for a Valentines weekend getaway. The property was just as described in the posting. It was very clean, well maintained and had plenty of room. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck which provided even more relaxation each day. The owners are very pleasant to deal with. They never hesitated once to communicate with us on the phone or via email when we were looking a place to stay. They responded very promptly. We had another couple with us and they truly enjoyed it as well. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking a place to stay in Todd, NC near Boone, NC. The price is very fair for what is available in this cabin. Hubert and Kathy (Owners) provided great customer service and assured that we were satisfied with anything. The reservation process was very simple. Thank you Hubert and Kathy for allowing us the privilege of staying at your cabin and certainly we will be returning.

Thanks,
Bryan & Jennifer Pulley

GREAT HOLIDAY

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at the Riverside Cabin during New Year's in 2009. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. It has everything you'd need in your stay. The hosts, Kathy and Hubert, were extremely helpful and the transaction was organized, straightforward, and very professional. In the cabin, the binder with attractions and local information is very helpful. The neighborhood is gorgeous with a Christmas tree farms and lovely cabins. The fact that the yard is large and flat was great since our kids had a blast playing in the snow and it was safe for them to be outside. It is a peaceful place, close to Boone, but not in the mix of all the tourist traffic. We loved it and highly recommend it.

Serenity on the River

  • 5 of 5
We vacationed down at the Riverfront Getaway Cabin in the middle of April, just as the wildflowers were starting to bloom and the trees were starting to bud out for the Spring. The cabin was very clean, roomy, well-maintained, and comfortable. It seemed to be furnished in an "elegantly outdoorsy" theme, with its "Camp Run-a-Muck" sign in the main room and quilts on the beds, which only added to its appeal. We've stayed in other places that advertised a "fully stocked" kitchen, only to be disappointed. The cabin's kitchen was fully stocked without exception for every meal we needed to make. We ate there a lot, mostly to take advantage of sitting out on the open back porch, or sitting in the chairs down by the meandering and very peaceful New River. We drove 80 miles up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway, and headed all the way up to the top at Grandfather Mountain and would recommend both. We also spent some time in Boone and Blowing Rock going through all the local shops. Wineries and tree farms abound nearby, too. Make it a point to drive into nearby Todd and eat breakfast or lunch at the General Store, open every day except Wednesday from "10 to 4-ish", and you won't be disappointed. We can't forget that our stay was made much easier thanks to Hubert and Kathy, the owners of the cabin. Both were very kind and easy to work with in securing our rental, and Kathy sent us numerous pages of everything to do and see in the area, from restaurants to art galleries to places to hike. They made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. Finally, there is a sign in the cabin which says, "If you're lucky enough to be in the mountains, you're lucky enough". That certainly is true of our week. If you want a vacation at a place close to everything one needs, yet far enough away from everything to allow for a calm and relaxing vacation in the beautiful Blue Ridge, then the cabin is the place to be.
