We were very pleased with the house and the location. It was great for our family of 14. We came to Bryson City for the Polar Express train ride. We will try to come back in the fall to enjoy the view at the house. I am sure it is very nice and colorful. We would recommend the house and we would go back again.
This is a great house, it is a remote location which we loved but make sure to pack well for food items as grocery is a bit far. The house easily slept our group and would think you could easily accommodate 12 singles or more and probably 4 couples with some additional singles. The owner Charlie was great and very accommodating. The house is very well furnished, pool and ping pong as well as a hot tub. I will definitely be staying here again!
This house has what everyone is looking for, quiet, clean, views, vaulted ceiling-log cabin appeal, many amenities, great tasting water, sweet air, plenty of beds, above and beyond housekeeping person, large living room, beautiful kitchen, nice bedrooms and bathrooms, large decks, flat yard, walking/biking trail just a few steps from the house. Relaxing hot tub and swing in the backyard. The loft was perfect for my nieces to spread out and have their get away area. My family would come back again.
Overall, I would say that this house was exactly as advertised. A beautiful, well appointed home with lots of updated appliances and amenities. We had two issues with the house. The first was the need for an extra bathroom. The upstairs area easily sleeps 9 people and only has one bathroom. While we were aware of it when we rented the house, it really only hit home during our stay. The second real issue was the remoteness. It takes 10 minutes to get to the main road and then another 10 minutes to get to Bryson City. We had some issues with the lighting in the kitchen. It was very dark and by the time we left, we only had two spot lights working plus the light over the stove. Difficult to work with especially at night. I notified owner so I'm sure he will have it fixed. We walked the trail behind the house and saw a bear one evening. Again, overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The area is great and we definitely want to think about coming back again. To much to do to fit it all in in a week. Owner was great to deal with. Many thanks.
Big Sky II was truly an awesome place. I typically go the mountains twice a year and have been doing so for five years. This house was by far the most secluded and pieceful one yet. There is plenty of room and beautiful views. All of the commodities you'll need, very clean and very homely. I can't say enough about the owners who were absolutly the best I've ever worked with. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
