The Olde Stone Cottage is your perfect place to stay in Lancaster County! This luxury accommodation is ideal for a honeymoon, romantic retreat, girlfriends getaway or relaxing private vacation. Kids stay free.

Sit on the porch and watch the Amish buggies clip-clop down Main Street, listen to the bells chime from a nearby church, and enjoy flowers in shades of yellow, white and blue, which lend a French Country feeling to the outside of the cottage.

Amish and Mennonite farms provide plenty of fresh produce and there's lots of shopping in nearby Adamstown, known as the Antiques Capital of the USA. There are five local one-room school houses and covered bridges. Outlets in Reading and Lancaster are a short drive, as well as museums, Amish attractions and great hiking and biking.

Small Town USA: The Olde Stone Cottage is in a small town (1200 people) that has many activities. There's a Terre Hill Days celebration in July - great bands, outhouse races, fireworks, lots of food - a town-wide Yard Sale, Harvest Parade and Haunted Trail in the fall, Lunch in the Park every Friday late July into September, and lots more.

A Shopper's Paradise: Whether it is outlet shopping (Lancaster has Tanger and Rockville, and Reading has the big VF Outlet Center), antique shopping (ten minutes away at the Antiques Capital of the USA, Amish quilts and crafts, or Art galleries (downtown Lancaster), Terre HIll is in the center of the spoke for shopping of all kinds. We'll be glad to share our favorite places with you.

Lancaster County: Terre Hill is centrally located in Lancaster County - there are buggies that travel right past the cottage, one-room schoolhouses and covered bridges surround the town, rolling farmland, roadside stands at the farms, local craft, quilt and furniture shops. A huge antigue center is ten minutes north of town and Weaverland Auction is 1 mile from town - where the farmers and nurseries bring their produce and plants to be sold. It's a great area to cycle.

Terre Hill is a perfect place to stay - a quiet, small town that boasts tennis courts, a wonderful park, two restaurants and a convenience store - all within walking distance of the cottage and surrounded by Amish farms. Nearby Shady Maple provides a great farm market and the largest smorgasbord in the county for great Pennsylvania Dutch food.

A Relaxing Pleasure

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, and wish we could have stayed longer. The “old” feel of the home was great, and the amenities were perfect. We so enjoyed having a glass of wine in from of the fireplace. The home made cookies and brownies were delicious, and a very nice touch. It was awesome to see several horse and buggies pass right in from of the cottage on Main Street. Our getaway was a relaxing pleasure. Thanks Jan and Bruce!

The Best Christmas Ever!!! We had an amazing time in Terre Hill,P.A. The best getaway for a family to have.I fell in love with the place and surroundings.People are very friendly to new comers.It was a wonderful sight to see the Amish on thier horse buggy traveling up and down East Main Street were the cottage is located. That was and awsome sight.

Wow, the pastries were delicious from Sunnyside Pastries -Also the pretzels are really good.

You are right - pretzels are terrific here. In fact, 75% of Americas pretzels are made within 100 miles of Lancaster County. And Sunnyside, an Amish bakery not a mile from the cottage, has wonderful pastries. In fact, we're pretty much surrounded by good food!

Fantastic August Getaway

We stayed here during the first week of August as a getaway from it all. Wow did we succeed. We enjoyed every aspect of the town, the shops, and suprising amount of things to do in in the Lancaster area.
The home was the star though. We experienced a real "home" feeling while staying at the cottage. Everything felt right for us. Cookies were a fleeting delicious treat thanks to my kids. The owners were fantastic with their advice and hospitality. The neighborhood was warm and welcoming. We will be coming back here again. You know it was great when the kids want to go back 3 months after staying there. The home was precious.

We loved our stay at the Olde Stone Cottage! It was completely charming and cozy, and Jan and Bruce made us feel very welcome. They are both so accomplished and interesting, and they were great resources for exploring Lancaster County. We felt completely at home in the cottage, loved the comfy bed, and really wished we could have stayed forever and not gone home to normal life and work!
