Be one of the first to visit this new (and newly remodeled) vacation rental. Our house is located near the award winning 'The Wine Room', which was formerly The Smothers Brother's Tasting Room. At St. Francis Winery (1/2 mile) each Saturday from 12-4pm meet the winemakers Throughout the Summer there will be activities at The Wine Room and many include live music - all of which you can walk to and partake in. We are also directly across the street from Kenwood Winery, within WALKING distance to FIVE other TASTING ROOMS plus THREE excellent restaurants, and yet have the benefits of country living. Sit in the hot tub at night,look at the sky through the giant redwoods, and find out why this area is called 'Valley of the Moon'. Other Activities: Within walking distance to 7 wine tasting rooms, adjacent to a private picnic area that has daytime music venues, minutes by car to 3 state parks, 20 minutes to Sonoma, 25 minutes to St. Helena. Starting in June you also have the opportunity to book a MASSAGE, beginning, or not, with yoga stretches,at the house with a wonderful masseuse

The house and grounds have a history dating back to the early 1900's and therefore there are towering redwoods, maples and oaks in one area (of the over 1/3 acre the house sits on) that makes you feel you are in a redwood grove or your own park. Small weddings were once performed here and there is a permanent area made for dancing under the stars where the spa is now. Off the back deck is a mature grape arbor and views of the beautiful Sonoma hills. The house has a completely open floor plan downstairs and includes the outside deck, inspiring conversation as you cook, eat or just hang out. If you choose to rent just the apartment you will be able to enjoy all of the outdoor amenities by yourselves. This location invites a perfect combination of wine tasting, hiking, interacting with people during the day and yet have serenity, if you choose it, in the evening hours to spa and enjoy the redwoods.

Perfect Romantic Getaway

My wife and I stayed in the apartment for three nights after Christmas as a romantic getaway. We absolutely loved it. The apartment is perfect for a couple. It's immaculate and has all the amenities you would want. Not to mention the proximity to wineries, small restaurants, and the best breakfast place in the town of Glen Elen (a few miles away). I can't remember the name, but the property owner lives nearby and knows it well. We rented mountain bikes and visited several wineries (St. Francis is the best in my opinion). The deck is perfect for enjoying the fruits of our labor along with the hot tub for recovery. We spent one afternoon mountain biking since there is a great trail about 2 miles away. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful and are a pleasure to work with. I
highly recommend this place. My wife and I are already planning to be back next December.

I rent several vacation homes every year and this one rates at the top. My family rented the entire house and we had a grand time. The location is perfect. I highly recommend this vacation home.

We had five people staying Sept. 11-14 at the house and the only word for our stay was "perfect". The photos on the web site don't do the home justice and having a tasting room a pitching wedge away was wonderful. Marilyn and Jon were very helpful and informative and they kept their secret weapon, their son, who lives nearby, under wraps until we needed him and he was a great source for local restaurant recommendations and personal needs. Thank you for Citi Cafe and for the back porch where many naps happened after a day of wine tasting and hot tubbing. When I grow up I want to be a weatherman in Sonoma, every day is sunny and 80 degrees in Sept. I cannot recommend this house enough for a relaxing, pleasant, well located vacation. PS. WE WILL BE BACK!

This is the perfect wine country location. Convenient to all wineries and Sonoma County towns. Stayed here with another couple and the apartment/main house set-up was perfect. The grounds are beautiful and were the ideal setting for great wine, great food, and great conversation. Would definitely stay here again. Furnishing are up-to-date and impeccably clean.
