Enjoy the vacation of your dreams -Direct lakefront - Majestic lake and mountain views await you from this beautiful four bedroom, four bath, vacation home! Reserve this Lakefront Home which is nestled in a private cove on pristine Lake Nantahala in the mountains of Southwest North Carolina.

Breathtaking mountain and lake views from both the upper and lower decks. Outdoor stairs allow easy access to our private Lakefront dock. Boat rentals are available at a nearby marina or you can bring your own boat and dock it right at the house. Our cove allows for a perfect area to swim and fish off the dock. We also offer usage of a paddle boat and canoe which is included with the house rental.

2 Story walls of glass in the family room afford you a panoramic mountain and lake view. Pine cathedral ceilings and a stone fireplace add to that mountain home feel. There are two bedrooms on the main floor (each with queen) and two baths. The kitchen is fully-equipped. Wooden floors throughout main area of home. Relax in the rocker on the screened in porch or lounge on the deck. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms (5 twins/ second king plus 2 twins ), a bathroom, and an open loft (queen futon).

Perfect for a family reunion or get-away with friends. Challenge your friends to a game of ping pong or just take time to relax and play a few board games. The house is equipped with Satellite TV, VCR, DVD, games and videos for your enjoyment and WiFi Internet access. There is a laundry room and full bath located in the basement.

Semi finished basement with tv, video games and ping pong table. Go for a swim, explore the waterfalls, hike Wayah Bold Mt., fish at the local Trout Farm or just relax and watch the wildlife.

We are located close to Whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, tubing, the Cherokee Indian Reserve, and the Great Smoky Mountain State Park. Lake Nantahala - Land of the Noon Day Sun's undiscovered beauty is surrounded mostly by the Nantahala Forest Preserve and some private homes . You will love the peacefulness of area and beauty of the lake. Lake Nantahala is one of the most picturesque lakes in Southeast!

Back again to Driftwood Cove

This is our 2nd summer vacationing at Driftwood Cove and we will be back again next year for sure! We enjoy the location and comfort of the house. Our kids love the lake they just spend hours swimming and boating. The home is well maintained and the kitchen has a lot of items to cook with. This year we went tubing at Deep Creek and had a great time. Also went zip lining . Spent an afternoon in Highlands enjoying the restaurants and antique shops. No cell phone coverage at house but we like that ! place does have wifi , didnt want to go back to reality of everyday life,,,, but all vacations must end.

Peaceful retreat

We spent a week at Driftwood Cove and wished we had booked 2! The location of the home is perfect, directly on the lake. We enjoyed waking up and drinking our coffee outside on the porch, just taking in the view of the lake and the mountains. The kids played on the lake all day. We took the canoe across the lake to the rope swing and had a blast. We fished off the dock, and feed the ducks in the cove. We rented a boat from Lakes end and explored the lake - we found a waterfall and hiking trails. We planned some day trips - went whitewater rafting on Nantahala and tubing at Deep Creek. Overall a great week just went by too fast- would definitely go back.

LOVED DRIFTWOOD COVE

Your Lake House was very comfortable and clean. We had 3 familes stay, 13 of us. It was my Husbands 40th Birthday and had a Great Time. We rented a boat and went tubing, the kids fished and went on the rope swing, took walks every night. It was a Relaxing get away. I liked the basement for the kids hangout, The Adults had down time, great lay out. Thank You Karen for letting us use your home we will be back.

Our stay

Hi Karen,
I wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time at the lake house this past week. Your house is beautiful and the lake is amazing. The water was clear and cool but not cold, nor hot... the perfect temperature. Also, it's so isolated and peaceful! We loved it!!
We rented a boat, went horseback riding, took the little ones on a train ride, went rafting, some fished and my husband played golf 3 or 4 times! It was a wonderful break from the madness of life.

Great Vacation

We stayed at Driftwood Cove the first week of July and had a blast. This is our fourth year coming to the lake and every year it gets better. We have stayed in a variety of homes and the family has decided that Driftwood Cove is our favorite. The location is perfect and the layout of the house could not get any better. We spent all of our days on the water and the house was a perfect place to relax. Everyone in our party had a great time and the nightly ping pong tournaments were a blast. Thank you for letting us rent your home and we will be back next year.
