Though the bustle of downtown Chatham is only 3.6 miles away, with free Cape Cod League baseball games, theaters and shops, The Pondhouse is blanketed from road noise and nestled on Critical Wildlife Area sixty feet from high tide mark! A .4 mile walk along hundreds of acres of preserved salt marsh brings you to Cockle Cove Beach and .8 miles to bike path! The Pondhouse is private yet open and airy and filled with light. It sports newly renovated gardens, renovated kitchen, laundry, heirloom paintings, braided rugs, craftsmen furniture, finish carpentry and fireplace in main room. The Cockle Cove community of South Chatham is the best kept secret; rural and surrounded by vital marshlands including a salt water pond and channel to Nantucket Sound large enough for a 21' outboard center console sport fishing boat.
