My family had been looking to travel to San Juan over the Christmas holidays. We were told that because it was a holiday that we had to pay for a full week even though we were only staying for five nights. We didn't mind even though the original posting did not say that. There are five of us and we were promised a unit with a convertible couch. As the date approached, we were told that the original unit that we had been promised wasn't available and they had another comparable one to offer us that slept four and they would make sure that a rollaway cot was in the unit. The veiw and setting were perfect and the access to the beach was easy, safe and secure, The underground parking was a bonus, too. We were a bit disappointed by the unit-the top of the fridge was very dirty and when I picked up the vinyl placemats, cockroaches crawled out. Cable reception died the second day of our stay which might have been an island problem so we had no TV. Not a problem for us as the weather was beautiful all five days; it rained the day we left. I am hoping that the original unit that we had been promised would have been cleaner.

Owner's Response: I contacted the managing company we use in PR regarding these comments and attached is their reply:
We are the managing company that takes care of the apartment’s maintenance, cleaning, etc, for various owners of apartments in PR. First of all, we want to apologize and make no excuses for the items mentioned in the review regarding the overall cleaning/maintenance of the unit, which are all our responsibility (not the owner of the apartment). Those are things that should never have happened and we can assure them (the tenants) that, without going into the particular details, we are taking appropriate actions to improve our services. Even though we would have been available to correct most problems that occurred during a tenant’s stay, our aim is to have none (or the least possible), so that the tenant will have the most enjoyable time. Some problems, like the cable situation, are out of our hands even though we would make the corresponding appointment with the cable company.
To conclude, we are glad and wish to thank the tenant that the overall rating given was above average, and hope that they will come back in the future.
