Charming and Welcoming@

  • 4 of 5

Staying at the Armitage in Havre de Grace is like staying at the home of a good friend. A really clean and thoughtful good friend! The house itself is spacious and nicely decorated. It has all of the charm of an old home, but has been lovingly cared for and updated with modern conveniences. My cousins and I had a nice relaxing weekend at the house. We all commented about how comfortable the beds were. The kitchen has everything you could want, including an assortment of teas, and a nice bottle of wine (thank you!!). We hope to come back in warmer weather so we can enjoy the wrap-around porch. It was an easy walk to the water and an easy walk to the shops and restaurants. Thank you Melania,, your Mom, and your housekeeper for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will be back.

Perfect house for a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we stayed in this beautiful home. Our first experience was for our nephew's wedding a few years ago. We brought our family and from the time we stepped into this lovely remodeled home, we felt at home. It took us back to being in our grandparents home as children and all of the fond memories that went along with it. We are from Maryland and now live in Arizona so we have experienced this quaint water town as locals. We have returned again, for Christmas to celebrate with our families. Sometimes your memories fade and you can be disappointed when you return, not so with this lovely home. Again, we stepped into the home and felt the warmth that we experienced the first time. I can't say enough good things about the quaint shops and the excellent food served in the local restaurants. We get our seafood fix when we visit! We have made this our home away from home to revisit MD. Thank you Melania for sharing your beautiful home with us. Until next time, Mahalo!

Lasting Memories

  • 4 of 5

We will remember this house for the rest of our days. It was the perfect setting for our large family who came in from all over the world to attend a family wedding at St. Patrick's Church. The home was an international hit. The location, porch, kitchen and proximity to shore were more than we hoped for. Thank you Melania for the welcome bottle of wine. A wonderful touch!

Lovely accommodations and terrific location!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home. My entire family was in love with it – the older style house reminded my Dad of his childhood home.

The beds were beyond comfortable (the only down fall was far too many naps were taken – ha-ha)!! The kitchen was fully stocked and the dining room was perfect (enough seating for 8)!

The porch was nice and the neighbors friendly. Parking was easy (street or driveway).

Part of the charm of this home was definitely the location. The home is very close to the little downtown area (short walk). We did quite a bit of damage in the shops. One of our favorites was Doodads (free trade store). The Tidewater Grille was excellent, it was nice to be close to the bay. We also visited and liked Prices and we LOVED Lauraapin.

We have family in Havre de Grace and will certainly be back. I will also be recommening this rental to our other family members that visit this adorable little town!

What a gem!

  • 5 of 5

What a gem! This house is very well maintained and located in such an accessible but quiet town! We spent 11 days here over Thanksgiving 2013. We found the home very comfortable and family oriented. It was great to be able to walk into town and shop at all the locally owned businesses! This home is flawless, we will definitely be returning. I also appreciated the professional way the home was managed. Very easy to do business with.
