Cookies paradise is in the beautiful island of Vieques Puerto Rico. It's located in the first mountain of Villa Borinquen which is between the north side and the south side of the island. You are able to go from on side to the other in 15 minutes or less. The island offers great diving, snorkeling, horseback riding and the spectacular Bioluminescent bay only three in the world this by far the best. The island also has great restaurants and bars.

Cookies Paradise has both ocean and mountain views. Star gazing at night is a real relaxing experience.

You can also rent a sailboat or motor boat to see the unexplored side of the island.

Cookies Paradise offers a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV upon request.

Bioluminescent Bay: This is a must to do while you're in Vieques as there are only three in the world this being the best. There's two ways to see this extraordinary place, one is by kayaks and the other is in a pontoon boat.

Beaches: There are too many pristine beaches to mention. I advise to check a different beach each day. Also, there are sailboats and motor boats you can charter with captain and they will take you to the unexplored part of the islands as well as fishing and diving.

There is also a pescaderia (place to buy fresh fish) on the north side of the island by Isabel Segunda where the fisherman sell you their fresh catch including lobster but you must get there between 11AM and NOON.

After a day at the beach check out the wonderful restaurants and bars in the island both on the north side and the south side (Isabel segunda and Esperanza)

Wild horses and hiking: Sunbay is full of wild pasofino horses. They are really beautiful. You may also go horseback riding through the mountains, through town or on the beach

This is an island just 8 miles away from the mainland of Puerto Rico. The way to get there is by a commuter plane or by Ferry. It is a great place for families or couples. The house has a great view. The pool is perfect. The property was clean. You need a car to move around and you can rent to them. So, you have everything in one place. Of course we will recommend this property to our friends!!!

Perfect for family or a group of friends

We stayed at Cookie's for 3 nights and I think we all wished we could have stayed longer. We took advantage of the rental cars and used both of them (there were 6 of us), which was vital to us visiting the harder-to-reach beaches. The house was clean and cute and Isabelle was there if we needed her for anything. The kitchen was amazingly well-stocked (the knives were even sharp and the blender made some great pina coladas). I would definitely recommend this house for anyone coming to Vieques, as long as you plan on having a car on the island.

Great Vacation but the house is kind of disappointing really

We rented out both units for Christmas and overall we had an amazing time in Vieques - beautiful beaches, great people, lots of fun. We had been looking forward to this trip for almost a year so maybe my expectations were too high, but the facilities at Cookie's Paradise left something to be desired. We are not luxury travelers so it more or less fit the bill, but this is one of those classic cases where the pictures and promises on the various websites over sell what you actually get. The units could definitely use some updating - there were several broken pieces of furniture, the grill was in bad shape, most of the place had a bit of a "tired" feel to it. in addition to that we had a few problems during our stay and the caretaker was less than immediate in her assistance - we ran out of gas for the oven and it could not get fixed for 24 hours or so. The other important thing to note for families with young kids is that the pool is decidedly not kid-friendly (the railings have huge gaps that lead to large drop offs).

Great Week!

My husband and I rented the 4bdrm with another couple. A very spacious villa! We all had a fantastic week, the villa has everything you could need (if you want for anything just talk to Isabel the caretaker).

We rented the car with the house, and it was very convenient.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great Time!

We were at Cookies 2/12 - 19/2011. The house was wonderful, perfect for our family and 3 other families. Kids loved the pool. Everything was as described. The island is a great adventure for kids, we saw the black sand beach, starfish beach, the old sugar plantation and we went horseback riding. There are a lot of places to snorkel and great places to eat. We rented the car with the house and it was a great way to get around the island. Isabel the caretaker was always willing to answer questions and help us out. She even had some groceries there when we arrived, which was a huge help.

We did notice the one local store charged an additional 25% to our bill, which was really frustrating. It was hard to get directions sometimes because we had a hard time communicating.

Would go back again!
