Aloha Stu! Thank you again for a lovely place to stay! We had yet another awesome time in the condo! We will be back again in the near future. It is such a beautiful place and the locals are so very friendly! Thank you! We love being right on the beach and going for walks into town.
We had such a great experience renting this property in December 2014.
First of all, Stuart is extremely responsive -- which makes booking that much easier and easy-going. The condo is terrific. It's clean and really a great home-base from which to explore the town and the Island. We were traveling with our 8-month old and 4-year-old. The pull-out sofa worked great for the 4-year-old and we rented a crib for the baby -- which fit in our room. As other reviewers have mentioned, the master bedroom isn't huge but you really shouldn't be spending much time there anyway -- you're in Hawaii! It was great to have two bathrooms. The views are terrific and we really appreciated the private feel to the beach. The porch is a great place to relax and unwind. There condo has chairs and beach toys for use. We were so bummed to have to leave!
This condo was just as everyone before me has said, a wonderful place to stay! It looks exactly as it does in the pictures, and the views are really spectacular. I worried that being the second building to the back was going to take away from the view, but the placement of the unit in the building prevents it from being any issue. The space is small but comfortable, and my husband and I really enjoyed having the second bathroom. Most of the bare necessities are already in the condo (bring your own toiletries), and whatever else you might need is an easy walk or drive over to the local market in Haleiwa. We picked up a few groceries there, and cooked bacon and eggs in the condo each morning, which was convenient and cost effective.
As a wonderful surprise bonus, the beach is the best one in town! We visited all of the surrounding area beach parks, and found that the best snorkeling is right in front of our own condo! Sea turtles were an every day occurrence, and the shallow reefs hold lots of fish for snorkeling pleasure.
With all of the comforts of home, and the charming town of Haleiwa, this was the best place to stay on Oahu if you're looking for rest, relaxation, and getting away from it all without being bored. Honolulu was crazy, and we were very glad after visiting that we did not stay there. Stu was great, and very accommodating of our strange travel schedule. Thank you so much Stu!!!!
Traveler tips: North Shore Surf girls gave great surfing lessons! My husband and I both actually rode the waves standing 3-4 times each, and had no prior experience, so don't be afraid to try it! Haleiwa Joe's and Luibueno's both have great food and drinks for nighttime dining. And make sure you visit the local art gallery, a hidden gem! The Surf Shops also came in handy. All within walking distance if you're used to walking!
My wife and I spent one week at this condo. It is exactly as described and shown in the pics. The unit was very clean and nicely remodeled. We had no complaints. You will feel like a resident of the north shore. It's about a mile from downtown Haleiwa, in a relatively quiet area. We spent 2 or 3 days on the beach there (snorkeling was great - sea turtles, lots of fish, and not crowded). There are several locals that walk the beach in the morning and are very friendly. The other days we went to Sunset beach, Waimea Bay, Sharks Cove, and a few other spots on the North Shore (all a within a short drive with lots of scenery). If you're going to dinner in Haleiwa, go early. Certain restaurants close at 6pm, but there are several that stay open later. The condo has a coffee maker, buy some coffee from the Coffee gallery too (freshly ground and grown on one of the islands), rent a paddleboard (they will deliver to the condo). Stay away from Honolulu (too much traffic!!!). The condo has 2 nice beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler. Shower has great water pressure and you can open the louvers on both ends of the condo and get a nice breeze. FYI, Matsumoto's is worth the wait! I could go on, but go experience it and see for yourself.
This Haleiwa Oceanfront Condo is in a perfect location with straight on ocean views. Condo has been beautifully remodeled with an open kitchen. Very comfortable furnishings and queen size bed. We loved how the trade winds kept the unit cool throughout the day. The owners have thoughtfully considered their guests needs for comfort, snorkel gear, cooler and the most amazing Tommy Bahama beach chairs. Loved visiting with the turtles sunning themselves on the beach. Most of our dinners were spent at the beach side picnic tables. Try "Mobile Thai" on Kam Hwy in Town. We loved their food. Highly recommend this wonderful Haleiwa Oceanfront condo. We live on Maui but can't wait until we return. A hui hou. Michele & Greg White, Maui Real Estate Guru
