Cozy Ocean Getaway in beautiful Southern Shores, NC

My husband and I stayed in the Abigail for our honeymoon in July!! It was so truly wonderful!!! We had the best of both worlds, the ocean such a short walk away and the beautiful pool right in the back yard!!! It's really unbeatable. I would recommend this home to anyone, family members and loved ones included!! It's well worth every penny and more!!
The house is spacious, comfortable, and adorably, tastefully decorated -which I found very different from any other home I've stayed in in OBX. It has the convenience of a wonderful washer and dryer for laundry and a dishwasher! The flat screen tv with DVD player was awesome! All of the appliances are really nice! Even the counter space and layout was wonderful! And what's really different is that, provided with the house rental are: linens and towels, bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards!!! That's so rare to find in an OBX rental!!
The hammock underneath the house was so relaxing - now we want one in our home somehow one day!
The location is so great too!! It's on a quiet, safe street, and it's a short drive to Duck and Corolla, which made it easier to go on a Jeep tour in Corolla to see wild horses, a wonderful surprise from my husband!! I highly recommend that too, what a fun experience; how often do you get to see horses in the wild or drive on a beach?
Eat at the Corolla BBQ (take out only) - you won't be disappointed, but you will want to keep going back!
Wake up early, 6:30 or 7am to walk on the beach to see dolphins! It's such an amazing experience!!
Lastly, Yvonne was SO accommodating, what hospitality!! We were so surprised by the sweet surprise she left us and the kind note!! We were so grateful that she rents her beautiful home out - it was a safe and beautiful, fun-filled stay!!

This home has everything you need- a true home away from home. The location is perfect, close to everything, the main business strip (158) only 16 miles from Corolla and the wild mustangs, not to mention the ocean is also close by (The ocean is a 2 minute walk from the front door.) We have three kids (10, 10, and 12) and they had a blast everyday in the pool. The screened back porch provided a perfect place for the kids to hang out too. The home was clean and the kitchen had everything you would need. The owner Yvonne called to make sure everything was ok and also provide a basket of fresh fruit and veggies. We will definately be coming back.

Loved this vacation home. Close to the beach, beach access. Great home for two families. Nice screened porch. Pond outback, fed lots of turtles! Nice pool as well. Would highly recommend this home to others.
