Family Vacation

We just wrapped up our 10 day family vacation at this wonderful cottage on the lake. It is very well situated on the lake, easy access to town yet quiet and felt fairly secluded. The cottage itself is super comfortable, immediately felt like a home to us. The beds were amazing!!! My husband and I travel with a memory foam topper because we are so fussy about our sleeping surfaces but we didn't even take it out of its case! The other huge bonus of this property is the setup of the bedrooms and play areas. There is a separate building housing a TV, pool table or in our case just a comfy space for my 16 month old niece to romp around at 6 in the morning without waking the rest of the house ... it was so perfect! The decks all had gates on them so we could contain the baby easily so we could relax and fully enjoy our time. For those of us who can't completely "unplug" there was very fast internet connection as well a multiple large screen TV's with satellite (3 of the 4 bedrooms had their own TV). There is very little to no beach at this property however there is a very nice dock to hang out on with a slide off the end. You have to boat or swim out to a sand bar that is about 150 feet off the dock to find a nice sandy bottom and water that isn't weedy but this didn't feel like a hardship to us. Overall is was fabulous, a place we have all agreed we would love to return to. I highly recommend it!
