Creole Cottage, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)

Located just three short blocks from the French Quarter on Pauger Street, this Creole cottage, built in 1829 has a total of four SPACIOUS rooms. A feature of Creole cottages is that there are NO HALLWAYS, and all rooms are connected. Street parking is available but we cannot guarantee it during special events.

The first room is a sitting/gathering room that features a desk, high back chairs, CD stereo system, a collection of reading materials, original heart pine flooring and a thick, soft wool rug. A queen-size sofa sleeper provides extra sleeping space.

The second room is the large bedroom which has a king-size canopy bed, armoire, bedside tables, tall chest of drawers, cable TV, wool rug and the same beautiful flooring. The third room has a round dining table/chairs, the PC (with wireless connection) and a large, comfortable chaise for reading or napping. You can pretend you're reading 'under' the book.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stainless steel appliances, as well as all the dishes, pots, and utensils that you'll need. A stack washer/dryer unit is also part of the amenities. The bathroom features a large tiled shower, and 880 gram Turkish towels, plus toiletries (including a hair dryer). The kitchen and bathroom's cork flooring add a little extra cushion under your feet. Outside the kitchen is a private courtyard with lush tropicals, table and chairs, and a large private hot tub.

Being part of our home, this SMOKE FREE rental unit is ADULT ONLY (Gay Owned, Straight Friendly). ALL PERSONS MUST BE 25 YEARS OR OLDER. SORRY, WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE CHILDREN.

PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a repeat visitor to New Orleans; I absolutely love the city!. This is the absolute best rental choice I have made in NOLA. The listing description is spot on. The unit is probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. If anything, it was larger than I had anticipated. And the private courtyard and hot tub, an added bonus. Ron has a wealth of information on the Triangle area. Both Ron and Mark are extremely friendly, but never obtrusive. The location is wonderful; a quiet neighborhood just a stone's throw from the nightlife of Frenchman or the Quarter. If you venture a good distance, imbibe a little too much and need a cab, the rates are quite reasonable.
One of my dreams is to have my own place in New Orleans. Until then, this is the next best thing! In a word, PERFECT!

Résider dans « l’Historique Creole cottage » de Ron & Mark a fait partie intégrante de notre visite de NOLA .
A quelques minutes à pied de Frenchmen Street et du quartier Français, il est le lien idéal entre une vie de quartier tranquille où la gaité des maisons colorées laisse au crépuscule la place aux notes enthousiastes des artistes de rues et aux musiciens inspirés des clubs de Jazz.
A votre arrivée, Ron vous tracera l’histoire du Cottage et vous donnera tous les conseils utiles pour votre séjour.
Le jardin est un véritable havre de paix d’où il est très difficile de s‘extraire et la maison est très confortable et décorée avec goût.
Vous l’aurez compris, nous y avons passé un excellent moment sans fausse note.

A Perfect Gem

Everything about this place lived up to the high expectations we had based on all the previous reviews we'd read. The cottage is exactly as described, with bags of charm and character. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are superb, everything worked flawlessly and the free use of the computer with internet access was invaluable. The location is excellent, in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood yet just a few minutes walk to the clubs, bars and restaurants of Frenchman Street and the French Quarter. Ron and Mark made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and made it clear that if we needed them they would be there for us but otherwise we would have absolute privacy which suited us just fine. They gave us the benefit of their local knowledge along with some very good recommendations for eating and drinking in the local area. We can't speak highly enough of our experience staying here and look forward to returning as soon as we can. There is absolutely no question about it - we would highly recommend Ron and Mark's place to everyone.

Skip the conference hotels and stay here!

I was in town for a conference and decided that I'd rather do a VRBO than a $200 per night conference hotel. This lovely house is about 3 blocks from Esplanade right off of Bourbon. Its a 2 mile walk to the Convention Center. I walked in each morning and had no trouble at all. You can go up Decatur and get breakfast if you'd like. Cafe du Monde is on the way.

The house is charming. The bed is fabulously comfortable. The hosts brought over a blender and strawberries for me to make smoothies in the morning which I really appreciated! You simply cannot go wrong with this lovely home.

Living like a local in Marigny

The apartment is lovely & quiet. Everything was in tip-top shape upon arrival! Communication was easy and efficient between Ron & Mark and us. They repeated many times during our stay to call if we needed anything.

We loved being able to walk to the FQ & Frenchman street in 10 minutes.

We would definitely stay here again, and plan to!
