Key Lime Condo in HOT Coral House. Less than 1 block to the beach --- Tybee Island's wide white-sand beach. Large porch. Privacy fence. What is unique about Tybee Island? * Barrier island due east of historic Savannah . * Just 3-mile diameter, and half that is salt marsh * Birthplace and home of a C-list actor; chosen home of an A-list actor; nesting home of loggerhead sea turtles. * Great dolphin viewing --- virtually guaranteed on the north end of the island. Dolphin boat tours are always available, but sitting on the north beach is just as effective. We once watched a band of dolphins frolicking with a delighted kayaker. * Impressive pier that extends way, way out into the water. Each end has a nice covered pavilion.

Tybee Island is a small barrier island with several miles of wide white sand beaches, nesting ground of sea turtles. Tidal marshes. Spanish moss. Sea shells. Lighthouse. Shrimp boats. Fresh seafood. Watch sunrises and sunsets from porch swings on the beach. No high-rises (35 ft building height limit). North end of the island is quiet and serene. Most of the beach goers are on the south end at the long pier and pavilion where you find the classic beach shopping --- T-shirts, beach towels, gifts, umbrella drinks. Just 20 minutes from historic Savannah and its multitude of art galleries, restaurants, and entertainments including theatre, a music festival, and a film festival.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Tybee Island and our stay in the Key Lime Condo. The Condo was perfect with everything that we needed. Ted was wonderful, checking to see if there was anything that we may need to ensure a perfect stay . The people we met on the Island were friendly. The shops and restaurants were great. We could not get over how safe the Island was. We look forward to returning to Tybee Island when our son and grandson returns from Afganistan to Hunter AAF in the fall of 2010.

This bright, small condo was clean, well-maintained and had everything we needed. Perfect location, right across from a restaurant and convenience store and within walking distance from the beach. Pleasant sitting area right outside the door created an outdoor living space. Owner provided good customer service. We especially appreciated that it was pet-friendly and did not charge a pet fee. Just a side note: Not recommended for people with disabilities.
