5 miles of uncrowded beach, whale watching in Maalaea Bay which is the Humpback Whale calving and breeding grounds during the winter months (November through April) right in front of the property! Ocean swimming, boogie boarding and surfing (during south swells), and windsurfing! The Pacific Whale foundation is a 10 minute walk from the property so you can walk to your whale watch tour, or take educational classes without a car! Their is a charming local store called 'Tradewinds' 5 minutes by foot, for local meat, fruits and vegetables, liquor. Their fruit cup is a must!

Our family had a wonderful vacation in Ma'alaea. This condo has a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunrise over Haleakala Crater. We had everything that we needed to comfortably stay for the 9 days. The sandy beach was perfect for the kids to play, and we saw hundreds of fish while snorkeling in the water right outside of the condo. If you head out for a walk along the beach in the mornings, you'll see many many sea turtles swimming close to shore. There are lounge chairs on the grassy area just steps away from the sand. We will definitely make plans for another trip to Maui and will stay at this condo!
We stayed at this property March 28-April 11, 2014. We truly enjoyed our stay.
The location is perfect - right on the beach, The kids had so much fun playing on the beach in the sand and in the condo pool.
Staying in Maalaea was a good choice as it gives you great access to other areas of the island, with not too much driving.
The condo was very clean and well-maintained, it had everything we needed for our stay, it was very well stocked for every need.
Stephanie was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
We will definitely recommend this condo to our friends.
The only shortcoming for this property we found was the intense smoke and soot fall out from burning of the sugar canes at night a few times during our stay
Apparently, the burning is part of growing sugar cane and happens every 2 years in this area; we just probably happened to be there at that time.
Other than that we had a superb time in Maui, we will definitely return!

We loved our stay at your condo and are sad to leave. We have been to Wailea to Kihei to Kaanapali and Kahana and this was our favorite! We feel we have discovered a beautiful new area that was previously not even on on our radar! Beautiful, quiet, homey and comfortable home away from home and as others have said - everything we could have needed. We hope to be back and will definitely recommend it to others! Mahalo!
We're back!! We always love staying at your place and made use of the beach chairs, towels, and small cooler - maybe not as much as we wanted since it rained much of the time. Recommendations: 1. The Maalaea General Store is great for small necessities (milk, cereal, sugar, etc.) and as a bonus has great deli food. The baja fish tacos are amazing! But get there before 2pm, when the grill closes. 2. As before, 3's Bar and Grill in Kihei has the best Happy Hour with easily enough food to make a dinner. 3. Take the road on the far NW side as far as you dare. The drive is beautiful and the scenery varied and gorgeous. We'll definitely go back. 4. Cafe Mambo in Paia is worth a visit especially for breakfast. 5. Leoda's on the road to Lahaina is also god for lunch and breakfast - great homemade pies. 6. Willie K at Mulligans on the Blue in Wailea. $65 for dinner and show. Food is a 4 course meal with a choice of 3 entrees, delicious and well worth it as Willie K is. 7. Michael had the snorkeling trip of his live over to Lanai - whales, tons of fish, beautiful coral. Thanks again Nora. You made it all possible!
p.s Hey Nora and Dennis, So glad I was able to piggy back on this trip so I could see for my self what all the talk was about! I love your place, location, comfy bed and that great little general store so close by - awesome grill and deli. Next time more Sugar Beach walks and hopefully not so many wet days. Maalaea is the most central location on Maui a reasonable drive to all points of interest.
Only 10 min from the Kahului Airport & Kihei and 20 min from Lahania & Kaanapali.
