Easter 2009. Hideaway Bahamas villa

We arrived via Nassau to Freport from the Uk.We opted to be met and taken to Basset Cove. The villa is stunnig, spacious and is also the show home. Wide screen TV all channels including soccer,even more than back home! pleased the other half. We were able to relax on the patio or walk straight down to the coves and the Sea. So clear and perfect to swim and snorkel. We brought our geer and also fished the blue holes from the shore.A really great experiece for all. On site reception centre for free inernet our skype calls home and local shop and takeaway and bar restaurant. We really made friends with the locals, they took us fishing twice and we were all sad to leave. This is our new hideaway that we hope to return and rent next year. We went into town to do a swim with the dolphins trip and then after a restauant in port Lucaya where we dined and enjoyed the free live entertainment. WE walked accross the road to the Casino and then back to our hideaway. Safe to walk here and they are very old fashioned English speaking, courtious and friendly. No traffic jams. The whole Island is huge and not too many people. Highly recommended, the perfect getawy.
Owner's Response: This family arrived late in the day and after a long haul flight from London were probably pretty tired. We offer an airport collection service (at extra cost) for all guests. We willl also shop in advance supplies to stock up the guests refrigerator etc. Everything we do is on a personal basis to quickly familiarize our guests to Hideaway Bahamas. We even alert the locals of our clients special requirements like fishing and snorkelling trips locally. The locals also provide our baby sitter and additional maid services. Most of our guests become friends and continue to communicate with the local residents here after they leave. We have regular repeat guests visiting us each year and as this is idillic to those wanting to get away from it all or work or write, we have so far attracted a UK lawyer and a US fiction writer to buy homes here too.
We look forward to seeing our old and new guests throughout in the near future.
