Incredible view, clean well kept home, beautiful private setting, truly for myself and my family a home away from home.We really appreciate being able to talk with Jim be it by phone or e mail as if we are old friends very relaxed, trusting folks,we felt very confident after our first conversation that it would be as Jim explained. For us as a family snowmobiling has been a passion and truly the accomadations we enjoyed only made a great thing better, especially the privacy and freedom to sit in the hot tub at 8 in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee or after a days ride to soak away the aches. Also the manager Dan was awesome, the kind of fellow that you could call a friend after minutes visiting,we will return,we can't wait thank you very much.
Not too far out of town, and not hard to find. The beds were very comfortable and the house was clean. Would definitely recommend it.
will be back.
I've just come back from another holiday at the Bear Paw Lodge, and yet again I'm thrilled with this place.
I went there for skiing back in January and I've just been there for early December. The Kicking Horse ski area was not open till the end of the week, But I was in striking distance of Lake Louise. Its only two hours to get to Revelstoke as well which I found a bonus. The house itself is perfect for a large family get away or a few friends. All the conveniences you need are here from a fully equipped and modern kitchen to a great outdoor hot tub where you can sit and soak and watch the moon above the snow covered mountains.
There is a guy who lives in a separate apartment in the cellar who looks after the house and can give you the lowdown on all the great out doors stuff you can do in the area. I would recommend this place for skiing, skidooing, X-country skiing, ice fishing and walking. I have not been there in the summer yet but the neighbors who are very friendly suggested its a great time to come and enjoy the walks and off road trails.
Myself and 9 friends stayed at the Bear Paw Lodge for a week in February. It was exactly what we were looking for. Big bedrooms, beautiful kitchen and living room. The lodge came with everything we needed - all kitchen supplies (including coffee pot, blender etc), towels, games, music. The maintenance man, Dan, who lives in the basement suite is very friendly and helpful and was always making sure we were enjoying our stay. I'd definitely go back to bear paw lodge!
I have booked many vacation rentals is Bear Paw Lodge is by far the nicest place i have ever stayed. Amazing location so close to Golden and only a short drive to Kicking Horse Resort. Really cozy and comfy house, lots of space and really nice amenities. Very clean! Everything you possibly needed for a weekend with some friends and family. I would highly recommend this place for anyone. We will definitely be back!
We celebrated a significant birthday for my mum whilst staying at Bear Paw and honestly could not fault it. It was clean, comfortable, well kept, superb location with beautiful scenery and the size of it meant that some our Canadian family were able to stay as well to help us celebrate! A very well stocked kitchen (a knife for every job!) was a huge bonus and my dad had a great time with the BBQ. The hot tub was bliss too! Thanks again to Dan for looking after us so well during our stay. A very special occassion was made all the more memorable by this lovely place, we were all very sad to leave it behind.
