Casa San Juan is conveniently located in the popular neighborhood of San Antonio, a safe and friendly mixed community of Mexican families and foreign residents with a number of small family run restaurants, internet cafes and tiendas. It is a 10 min. walk to the Art Institute, language school and another 10 min to the Jardin. The main house and casita are separated by lush garden, with barbecue, bar, cactus garden, fountain, seating and dining areas. The architect designed pink stone house at the rear of the property has on the first floor a large kitchen/dining and sitting room as well as a den/TV room with full bath (sleeps 2 on built in couches). 2nd floor master bedroom/bath/laundry room with outdoor patio and 3rd floor deck. Separated by 30x70' outdoor living area, the casita sleeps 2 with bath, outdoor kitchen, lounge, deck. Spectacular view of the town and surrounding mountains from 3rd floor deck. The property is completely walled in w/ parking. Perfect for 2 couples

San Miguel de Allende is a World Heritage Site, a gem of a Colonial town with all the amenities of a great city: fine dining, local family run restaurants, an excellent English Library, a vibrant art scene, good tennis, hiking, hot springs, boutiques, an alternative health system and friendly locals and ex-pats. The 250 acres at the Botanical gardens have miles of hiking trails, a tienda and small restaurant. The orchid garden is open by appt. The historic Textile Factory La Aurora is now a center for the arts with wine bar, cafe and open studios as well as galleries, and design shops. Walk to the Jardin, sit in the shadow of the grand Parroquia, enjoy the cafes, listen to the mariachi bands, relax in the hospitable atmosphere of this historic city. Little wonder the city was chosen as the best place for retirement, for the arts and the international flavor of its wide variety of restaurants..

Notes: This is a delightful, private compound suitable for animals and children. There are numerous shady or sunny sitting areas and a lawn to play on. The third floor patio with it's tiled roof and open sunny area has a 360 view overlooking the entire city and surrounding mountains. The barbeque/bar area on the first floor is a comfortable gathering spot. There is parking for one car. Our wonderful maid, Yolanda comes on Mon and Fri afternoons and will keep the home clean, do laundry and water the gardens.
