With the recent addition of a 40 foot pool and new furniture, The Happy Heron is the perfect family vacation home. The Happy Heron is the 6th house from the ocean and the front yard connects to the bike path. Just five blocks to Coligny Square (60+ shops/restaurants and grocery store) and 220 steps to the sand, The Happy Heron is a destination, where you don't have to get back in your car once you've arrived. A perfect fit for two families or one family bringing along the grandparents for a family vacation. Also works well for three couples or a golf vacation with your friends. The large kitchen spills into the recently updated outside living area (April '09), which includes one of the largest pools in North Forest Beach (and spa), and an abundance of deck space. The street is lined with a canopy of oak trees and is in a very quiet section of North Forest Beach.The house furnishings have been recently updated, with a 'Pottery Barn' look and feel throughout.

Hilton Head Island is the home of the nationally renowned Harbourtown Lighthouse and the best golf and tennis in the country. Located on North Forest Beach on Hilton Head Island, the home is in a very private residential area. Access to the beach is very limited so it is never crowded. A short walk takes you to shopping and many different restaurants. The island area has many golf courses, tennis, fitness centers, two outlet malls, four star restaurants, and many national retailers. Grocery shopping is very economical and there are many choices if you choose to cook in. A one hour drive takes you to beautiful Savannah or Beaufort, both historical cities with beautiful antebellum homes. Two hours takes you to Charleston.
