This property is ideal for a vacation. The community has everything one could ask for. There is a swimming pool, tennis courts and multiple restaurants to choose from. There is also a large grocery store within the community if you would rather enjoy a quiet meal at home. There is a walking path for an evening stroll and a frozen yogurt shop along the way. In the summer, there are outdoor movies for the entire family to enjoy. We fell in love with this community because there is always something to do.
Lewes, which is located just 6 miles from the townhouse is a wonderful place to spend time at. It is the first town in the first state and the buildings demonstrate the love that the people have for their town. You can spend days just walking around the lovely area. The bay, located in Lewes, is a relaxing place to enjoy the sun and water. Also located in Lewes is the Cape May/Lewes Ferry which is a delight for the young and old--whether you want to do some shopping or go to the zoo.
we attended a local tennis camp over the weekend and stayed at this property. We were easily accommodated in the space and had plenty of parking. The ladies all complimented me for finding such a lovely space, well Furnished, with sleeping spaces and bathrooms aplenty. The added plus was having eating places right across the street. So, even if exhausted we did not have to travel far to eat, drink, and be merry. I'm sure it would be very convenient if the weather was nice because it is close to everything. we found the owner flexible and easy to work with. Loved the back and front parking.
My family of 3 spent a wonderful week at this townhouse. Not only is it beautifully decorated, it had everything one could possibly ask for. We spend countless house at the community pool and as well as going to the bay which is just minutes away. When I didn't feel like cooking, we would just walk to one of the restaurants located in the community. When I did want to cook, I would simply walk to the large grocery store also located in the community and buy whatever we needed for that evening. I would highly recommend this townhouse and can't wait till next summer to be there again.
My family of 4 (plus one friend of our son's) spent August 4-August 11 at this spacious, clean condo. It was very well priced, and I appreciated the opportunity to save about $75 - $100 in cleaning fees by doing it ourselves before we left. The location was fantastic, as was the community pool. We saved a lot of money by eating most of our meals in the condo. I would definitely recommend this unit. The owner was very easy to work with.
We had stayed in a condo a few years back in the Village of Five Points, so we knew the community was wonderful. We were traveling with our two children (ages 4 and 1) as well as my parents, so we needed a bigger place and figured the townhouse would be perfect. Well...it could have been. But, we ran into a few snags.
First: It is VERY vertical. As in, you truly have to live on all 3 floors. And that is difficult with small children. Also, the only TV with "cable" (which is actually just an antenna, NOT cable or satellite) is on the 3rd floor. That room is technically a part of the Master Suite on that floor. So, if you're not traveling with people whose bedroom you are comfortable sitting in, don't plan on watching TV there. The DVD player on that floor doesn't work, either.
The air conditioner thermostat is locked, also. So, you have to know that the house sits at 76 degrees and the second floor is about 4-5 degrees warmer than that because there's no thermostat there. So, our son (who got sick on the first day of vacation and had a fever), was VERY uncomfortable in that temp. So were my husband and I. We actually ended up having to leave on Thursday instead of Saturday.
There are a lot of pretty knick knacks around the house - but they are a nightmare to keep safe from small children, also. We put them away on the first day and put them back out before we left.
The last issue we had was cleaning the house. I've stayed in 4 previous VRBO places and I've NEVER been asked to clean the house before leaving. We had to dust, sweep, and vaccuum the whole house. Ummm...I just paid a lot of money. There should be a cleaning person doing that! That made us pretty upset because we didn't really realize the scope of having to clean the house with the two small children so that took up a couple of hours on our last day of vacation.
Anyway, it's a VERY nice house in an absolutely BEAUTIFUL neighborhood. As long as you are aware of the previous details going in, you won't be disappointed.
This was our first time really renting a place for the week and I have to tell you it was awesome. I grew up going to Lewes and so excited to find this house to give our children great memories. Very close to everything we do and need. Perfect vacation spot and can't wait to rent it again,
We just came back from being at this house for a week, I will have to say we enjoyed the location of this house more than any we stayed at in that area before. It is very spacious with great decor and close to both Lewes and Rehoboth beach. The house was clean and pretty well equipped, could have used a few more utensils in the kitchen but other than that we were well pleased. Will proably return again. I would highly recommend this house. If you go to Lewes beach go to the lower parking lot- it is free and the beach is guarded but not crowded like the upper beach. The ferry is really close and easy to access be sure to have id on you before4 boarding the ferry. Great vacation!!!!!!!!!!!
