I would once again like to thank you and Mike for the use of your lovely apartment. My wife and I had a great time in National Harbour and Washington. The location of the apartment was ideal in terms of being away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Washington but within easy access. Mike's hospitality on arrival made us feel particularly welcome.

Great Vacation Rental

This condo is so conveniently located to Washington D.C., Mount Vernon and many other attractions. Short drive to civil war battlefields. It's a comfortable place to come home to after a day of exploring the city. Very clean,quiet condo with nice furnishings.
The owners were very friendly, arrived on time with the keys and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable.
We would highly recommend this condo to anyone planning on visiting the Washington D.C. area. We hope to return! Thanks.

Great apartment and a wonderful location!

I rented this apartment for 12 nights in August/Sept 2009. I really enjoyed staying here and I will definitely do so again the next time I am in town. The National Harbor is close to Washington, D.C. and is only minutes away from Alexandria, VA. This made it very convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the Potomac River (Jet Ski's are available for rent at the harbor). There is a nice swimming pool on the roof of the building and a decent gym also. In addition to this, garage parking is provided, which is a big plus.

Superb Condo for our 14 night vacation

Our family of 4 have just returned from a 14 night stay in this wonderful condo and complex. The condo exceeded our expectations, very clean, well equiped and a great welcome from the owners, who have been very helpful throughout our stay. The facilities within the complex are superb, great pool, very clean and a lifeguard on duty throughout our stay. We enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop terrace and the mezanine balcony with a glass of wine, people watching and enjoying the concerts and movies during the evenings.
National Harbor is a safe and convenient location to stay if visiting DC, several places to eat although we found them expensive compared to local restaurants on Route 1 and Alexandria. Chilis and Outback located on provided good family meals at reasonable cost.If staying within National Harbor for any length of time I suggest having a car, parking is free with the condo.
We would recommend hiring bikes from Thompson Boat Centre ( cheap and friendly) located at Georgetown and cycling the many trails and C & O towpath aroound DC, it is well worth using a bike to visit the sites of DC, only 10 minutes from Georgetown.
If driving into DC, Sunday provides free street parking close to all the museums.
A visit to the National Zoo is a must, a full day out, no entry charge only the parking to pay for.
We would not hesitate in recommending this condo and location, a visit to the Gaylord and a trip on the Seadog speedboat is a must, a perfect condo for our vacation!!!

Great home-base for sightseeing the DC area

The owner's met us the first day and showed us the unit and complex. Beautiful, clean condo with everything you need to cook meals. We were quite comfortable and found the condo a relaxing place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Recommend driving to Old Town Alexandria, parking at the Embassy Suites hotel ($12 day) and taking the train from the King Street station into DC. Very easy. Great restaurants in Old Town as well. Sunsets over the Potomac are pretty incredible. That was a nice surprise.

We highly recommend this property.
