Summer Home Information - Pool & Deck:
Pool and Deck Area: When using the fire pit, use only duraflame logs and only one at a time. The pool pump and aqua bot cleaner are on a timer. When not in use, remove the aqua bot from the pool and set upside down on the deck. There are two umbrellas on the deck – when not in use make sure that the umbrellas are closed. You have full use of the gas grille. The deck box contains floaters for the pool and a machine to inflate the floaters.
Local Area - Restaurants, Grocery & Movies:
Restaurants: Several great restaurants are located within minutes of our home. Some of our favorites are Twin Willows, Trios, Cheeky Monkey, Spain, Crazy Burger and The Coast Guard House.
Grocery Stores: At the Narragansett Pier Marketplace you will find Belmont Farms which offers prepared foods, fresh fish and produce. Also, you will find Belmont Liquors right next door.
Movie Theaters: There are two in the area; at the Pier in the Market Place area and on Route 1 South in South County Commons.
Outdoor Activities :
On Middlebridge Road you can rent kayaks at Narrow River. The River is a salt water river that flows to the ocean. It is very warm and in some places only 2 feet deep. Fishing is also available at the bridge and in several areas off Ocean Drive. There are three beaches – Narragansett Town Beach (located at the Pier), Scarborough State Beach (located on Ocean Drive) and Roger Wheeler State Beach located in Point Judith.
The ferry to Block Island is located in Galilee off Route 108. Also, on Route 108 you will find an amusement area (water bumper cars, miniature golf) Adventure Land. Right across the street from Adventure Land is the Stop and Shop Plaza with a Blockbuster Video Store.
There are two playgrounds in very close proximity. The first is located on Middlebridge Road and the second is on the road directly behind the Pier Marketplace.
Newport is located approximately a 15 minute drive east. Follow Route 1A to Route 138.
