Imagine yourself enjoying the beach in a community shared with only 30 other homes - your view and privacy will not be obstructed. Into the Mystic is a cottage set 3 houses from the Atlantic ocean and is a peaceful and private retreat for you and your family. The back deck and screened in porch face a wild bird sanctuary and filled with a beautiful deck garden. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 screened in porches, 2 decks and 2 outdoor showers. The kids room has 2 bunk beds, DVD and VCR player. While the summer months, July and August, in Robbins Rest are incredible, there's something to say about the month of September, the sunsets the long walks on the beach with hardly anyone around. If your looking for a vacation to unwind and get away from it all this is the house and place for you.

Special Notes: We own a Landscaping/Contractor business on the Island and the basement is used for storage of materials. It is accessed by the south yard in the early mornings and early evening. You wouldn't even notice! This proves to be helpful to our guests who need assistance in transporting food and necessities to and from Ocean Beach and the Ferry. This house is my happy place

Every year when I get off the boat, I look forward to hitting the cozy house in RR. As soon as I walk in the door, I feel like my worries somehow float away. The family comfort and the sound of the water soothe me in an instant. Each year I think about going some place else, some place new and each year I come back here because this is where my summer heart is. I have not found the feelings that I get here in any other place. Can't wait for July to get that back!

Relaxing old fashioned vacation

We all enjoyed our week here and loved being 2 houses away from the ocean. The beach was pristine and empty. We loved having decks and screened porches in both the front and the back of the house. It was clean and comfortable and well stocked. Our only problem was the lack of transportation from Ocean Beach to Robbins Rest ( I had a problem walking through the sand with a bad knee) and not being able to get the grocery store to deliver. Next time I would have everything come over on the freight ferry so that we would only have some light things to bring with us. I would definitely return to "Into the Mystic" and enjoy this unique vacation destination!

Love this house!!

I walk into this place and everything else just disappears. Every time I go, it is a better time than the last. There is always something new and wonderful in the house. The short, simple walk to the beach makes this such a convenient location. It feels like a private beach most of the time. The walk to Ocean Beach is a peaceful one, often with a baby deer to view.
Such a great house! We cannot wait to go back for year 4!!

This will be the third year i will be renting "Into the Mystic."
This is the quintesential beach house. Firstly, Robbins Rest feels like our own beach and after years of being there the natives have been very good to us. Small group and certainly not a CROWDED beach, like its counter parts. The homeowners Ann & Bill make it very convenient to get from Ocean beach terminal to the house, via a golf cart. Bring what you may.
Secondly, the house is as charming as any New England home. Cozy, comfortable and very clean. I regret that I can't take a month because every year before departure i have a very depressed family. Rent it but not my week

Relaxation and Low Key

I've stayed at this cottage several times. If you want a low-key ultra relaxing setting -- - -this cottage is perfect. Bring yourself, a couple bathing suits, some shorts, tshirts, sweat shirt, sun dress and flip flops and you have the makings of a perfect traditional beach vacation.

My kids love the escape from the bustle of metro life to come to this quiet haven
