Slice of heaven - Highly recommend this perfect, private cottage

What a lovely cottage. Even nicer than the photos. Very well kept and clean. Well equipped with every utensil you might need in the way of cooking and even some spices, oils, etc. View of the water is perfect since it is slightly shaded by trees and provides the feeling of privacy while still providing waterfront access and view. Beautiful grounds that are well kept, but have a natural look. I noticed a nice array of birds in the area and even saw several hummingbirds.
Short walk down to the water with a somewhat private area of the beach. (Sunrises are stunning from the beach)
The owner was very helpful and accommodating. Provided very clear instruction, helpful hints about town, and backup phone numbers in case of anything needed. He also returned the deposit very quickly.
I'm a software engineer and had to rely daily on the broadband wifi. It's reasonably good (I think it was 2 or 3 MB down and 1.5 up). The wifi was good and reliable which was critical for me.
Only a couple of blocks away is a fantastic lobster restaurant that is right on the docks and gets very fresh lobster. They will cook them up any way you want (I actually had them lightly boil the lobster so I could take them home and saute them the rest of the way). Everyone is friendly and accommodating in the very nice little town. The town has a nice little store reminiscent of an old general market with upscale wines and choices of food, not a wide array but nice upscale choices. There are also a few nice restaurants in town to choose from. Access to town is quite easy (maybe a mile or two?) and a short drive over to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park about 15-20 minutes.
I also recommend chartering one of the local sailboats - there are some stunning, old sailboats in the area. Just fantastic. Also - the Nature Tour out of Bar Harbor on the big catamaran was a big plus too for any nature lovers. I got to see a wealth of gorgeous scenery, wide array of birds and water fowl, Egg Rock Lighthouse and a few seals in the water. And don't miss out on the top of Cadillac Mountain- I went on a cloudy day and got the distinct pleasure of looking down on the cloud cover. Also there is a ferry to the cranberry islands within walking distance (maybe half a mile?).
Anyway - I can't recommend this cottage highly enough. It was just the perfect combination of peace, quiet and privacy in a lovely setting with easy access to everything.
