About Linda

After many hectic years in the Twin Cities, we moved 'Up North' to enjoy a more laidback lifestyle. Nothing seems quite as urgent when you are on the water.

Linda purchased this house in 1995

Why Linda chose St Cloud

We built two homes on this peninsula in the mid-1990s. My husband and I live in one of the homes. Friends and family stay in the cabin when they visit (it's actually a year-round home - we just call it 'the cabin'). We hadn't made use of the cabin as much as we once did, so in 2007 we decided to open up our cabin as a vacation home rental.

What makes this house unique

I love summer nights that are just the right temperature to leave the windows open, and then listen to the loons call to each other in the morning. There is no better way to wake up.

A great get away

  • 5 of 5

What a nice weekend we had! We are 5 couples who choose a different destination near the end of every winter. Our agenda: Cooking, drinks, and lots of laughs. The kitchen was amazing. Everything we needed to make any meal we could dream up, and the dining tables easily accommodated all 10 of us. The owners even brought out the grill and patio furniture from winter storage. Even though the weather was brisk, we gathered around the fire each night to toast marshmallows...and ourselves. The log beds were really cool. Each one is different, and all are massive. This vacation house fit our needs perfectly.

It's All Good!

  • 5 of 5

Found this rental to be just as presented online. The home was extremely clean and spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked with all materials needed to cook a meal. The location was very private, and in a nice, quiet area. The beach was great for our family. We brought our own fishing boats, and used the fish cleaning facilities. Boat house on the beach was nice and clean, with lots of room to store gear plus a fridge. Back deck and fire pit were perfect for a low key gatherings. Big gas grill was used a lot, and a paddle boat for use, which was a nice surprise. Would recommend without hesitation this fine home for a stay at the lake!

Wedding and Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 10 stayed here for a wedding. Plus 1 week at the lake - bonus! Loved it here. We were out on the paddle boat every day. Kids swam from the docks. Little kids played on the beach. Plenty of room in the house. We'll be back.
