There are several antique stores, white water rafting, motorcycle riding, and things for couples & families to do daily. From hiking, kayaking or sightseeing there is something for everyone. The home is also near Chatuge Lake for superb boating & the Hiawassee Fair. It is also near Highlands & the Bascom Art Gallery. Local artisans make the famous pottery for which N.C. is known. There are several area waterfalls, or just relax by the creek.

We stayed for a week at the end of August. The pictures just don't do it justice. The kitchen is HUGE and the back decks are heaven. The gurgle of the creeks and the cool air that they provide makes the area cool and fresh. I spent hours on the deck every morning enjoying my coffee and a book.

We did a bit of hiking and gem mining, but the best part of the day was coming back to the house to relax. You'll love it!
