Welcome to a very special property, one of the 'original' homes, at The Resort in Horseshoe Valley. This home backs on to the 18th fairway of the lower 'Valley' course (there are two golf courses for you to choose from - sports, meals, etc. not incl. in pricing for rental). CORPORATE & EXTENDED STAYS AVAILABLE
**SPECIAL NOTE .... For those who don't know the area intimately, some people seem to think this couldn't POSSIBLY be as close to the ski hills as it is. It IS a five minute walk AT MOST to Resort Main Chalet, Inn and skiing/golf, et al. The photo of sun setting over the ski hills IS taken FROM the deck off Living Room w/JUST a Blackberry and NO zoom. It's a SPECTACULAR property folks. Property IS one of FOUR ONLY to fully face the ski hills and back on to golf course IN THE ENTIRE VALLEY. It is THAT beautiful here and unique to all other surrounds in the Horseshoe Valley Resort Area****
Also, please know that we are ALWAYS going to be far more private than staying at the Resort OR at the Inn, Carriage Hills, Lodges, etc., because it IS in a PRIVATE EXCLUSIVE EXECUTIVE property. Cleanliness, Decorum, Civility, Luxury Accommodations is what's offered to those spending time at this FABULOUS place!!!!
From the living room, kitchen ****(The KITCHEN has just completed a renovation/restoration including all new counter-tops, floor tiles, back-splash surround and STAINLESS STEEL Appliances throughout as at November 1st, 2011), and decking outback, you sit on that 18th fairway, AND face the ski hills, main Inn of the resort, and main chalet. There are plenty of teak wood chairs and tables for you and your friends, as well as an almost new Vermont Castings Gas BBQ for your endless grilling pleasures.
The BBQ also comes replete with utensils, cast iron pots, pans and griddles for you more 'experienced' grillers. There are fantastic trails for your outdoor pleasure, and an abundance of wildlife (from turkey, to deer, pheasant and the occasional badger, groundhog and squirrels).
At the Inn they have a full service spa, swimming pools, sauna, hot tub, racquetball, bikes for rent, gift shop and two really great dining restaurants. At the main chalet are more dining areas, rental equipment for skiing or golf, biking and Segway Tours, and another gift shop.
The Resort now has it's ADVENTURE PARK in full gear; Zip-lining, Zorbing, Wall/Rock Climbing, Mini-Putt, Skateboard Section, Horseback Riding, Segway Tours and the TreeTopTrekking (see resort for pricing).
The massive Copeland Forest trail system starts right at the foot of the roadway .... forget the gym; go hike, bike, ride, walk through the forest trails --- great Cross-Country area during Winter as well (see Cross-Country Main Chalet to purchase tickets for that seasonally).
Once you arrive, unless you need to head in to town, park your vehicle and walk everywhere you wish to go from the house. The 'Silks' restaurant at the Inn is four star dinning - fabulous! Just 5 miles up the road are two more restaurants, as well as a decent full-sized proper grocery store (with a prepared foods section), LCBO (liquor store) and BEER Store, Gas Station, Artisans, Medical Office, Dentist, Veterinarian.
The property you will be in has been renovated LITERALLY from top to bottom over the past two years, even including the roof! The beds have rarely been used, and just purchased in the Fall two years ago (they are 5 k beds each - very high end - luxury comfort).
All bedding and linens are top shelf (laundry will be done for you - we are environmentally friendly and shall agree with you when you should wish your bedding washed, and towels during extended stays). All furniture is brand new, save a few choice antiques for character (like a desk built by my Great Uncle for my Great Aunt over 90 years ago!).
All electronic devices are high end (Panasonic Plasma TV, DVD Player, Sony Stereo, etc.) Every closet has quite a stock of solid wood hangers, pants hangers and the thicker plastic shirt hangers.
The fireplace is cozy and right at your feet in the Living room area. There is a stock of wood down the lower deck, to which you may help yourself and enjoy. Speaking of the Living room, that is where you will find a huge window facing the ski hills, and golf course, as well as the sliding glass door out to the back deck area which has all the teak outdoor furniture and BBQ.
The kitchen is complete with enough place settings for fourteen, as well as many over-sized serving trays, bowls, etc. There are 'the usual' with toaster, juicer, measuring cups, ice-cream dishes, wine decanter, glasses a plenty, knives, cutting boards, vases, and on and on. Again, all items are new and top-shelf.
Please know that we are an environmentally appreciative lot and utilize services such as Bullfrog Power to aid in sustainability!
(For your safety, please note that there is a fire station not 3 miles away, an Ambulance station 7 miles, and a world class hospital just 15 minutes to the South in Barrie, and another approximately the same distance to the Northeast in Orillia
**Please remember this is our PRIVATE FAMILY HOME. For what ever the reason people seem to forget manners (presuming they have them) and present a stance of entitlement in this world. Don't bring that to our front door ... we won't permit those presenting with inappropriate behaviour, carriage, and the like, entry. We turn away full 90% of those WANTING to rent the property' for OUR own protection, and that for a future and returning guests. Know we videotape ALL contents in the property, of the property and surrounds; we also have an extensive external surveillance system. Boisterous activity won't be tolerated and is never acceptable in a family environment such as this. Drug and related WILL be greeted by the OPP. ANY desecration to our property will be charged against the damage security deposit; additions too will be invoiced and court proceedings facilitated.

Hello There!!!! .... and welcome to VRBO in Horseshoe Valley!!!! Family has been her for over a half-century now ... sort of know the lay-of-the-land a bunch :). Always lived 'in valley' and adore the intimacy yet openness that provides.
This fine property is right at The Resort (ski/golf/spa/hike/bike) and aside the CopeLand Forest Crown Land (Hunting in-season).
Been an outdoorsperson my entire life --- tough with the six-inch heels, so keep those for the charity galas, running in to town, and corporate meetings where I enjoy being on tippy-toes.
Skier of Mountains in Taos, NM, Mt, Hood, OR, CO, and so forth, Adore ALL things NC, TX, LA. Have great Texan and Louisiannan blood in my viens, which keeps me cooler than others in the heat of Summer. Freeze in Winter, yet love the snow and just wear two ski suits to compensate.
Love drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Dancing under the stars, being ever captured by the everything of life, astounded by human nature, and desirous of a fine REAL RED MEAT DINNER as often as possible.
Have acquaintences and loved ones around the world, and enjoy having 'visiting' folks come-back around when they can.
Can't stand chaos or clutter. Adore peace and diligence. Desire joy and hope for all, and will work hard to achieve :)
Started VRBOing years ago through a familial relation and haven't stopped ---- it's a fine way to 'share' that which you take pride (one would hope) and engage others' places for a different vibe when in a new (or returning) local.
Write/call when you want. Stay as often as you can. Know that this IS the best place in The Valley for family, friends and good peace of soul!!!
