We've been renting high-quality furnished accommodations for over 6 years, exclusively in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. 'the Nest' apartment location is stellar, just 3 minutes walking distance to Boston Common, the Freedom Trail, an organic grocery store, a wine shop and many more conveniences and Boston attractions. Please note that our pricing is NET and includes all taxes, cleaning charges and payment fees.
Welcome to 'The Nest', a charming top floor studio apartment, oozing with comfy quaintness. This unit is located in a late 1800s Beacon Hill building at the very top of the Hill and the center of downtown Boston. The original pine flooring, original decorative fireplace and antique furniture add to the appeal. The apartment is extremely quiet located at the back of the building with tree tops and sunlight filtering in from the south-facing windows.
Basics: The kitchen is brand new and done to a very high standard. Normal-sized refrigerator, gas stove, Bosch quiet dishwasher and deep sink. The bed is a Beauty-Rest plush-firm queen with down pillows and sateen sheets. The bathroom has marble tiled floor, high-end fixtures and a high-pressure shower and tub. Washer/dryer at the bottom of the stairs along with a place to keep a bike.
Electronics: Brand new LED HDTV (w/ standard HD cable (CNN, CNBC, ESPN, etc.), DVD/CD player (w/ DVDs), wired/wireless internet, ipod/mp3 speakers & cable, ipod clock radio, roll-out air-conditioner, telephone & answering machine with free US & Canada LD, hair-dryer, vacuum, laser printer.
Eco-Green: Aside from an efficient apartment in a location that promotes walking and public transportation; bed linens and pillows are eco-certified and cleaning agents, paper supplies and soaps/shampoos are earth-friendly whenever possible. We recycle. Cloth shopping totes are hanging in the kitchen and the electricity is powered from wind energy.
Essentials: No smoking, no pets, no parking (ask), sleeps 2 maximum (no exceptions). Includes all utilities and furnishings, very detailed owner's manual for apartment and neighborhood, along with owner's personalized restaurant map.
Expectations: Please note that Beacon Hill is on a hill in an urban historical zone, so there is a fair amount of walking when staying in this neighborhood. The Nest apartment is a 4th floor walk-up (3 flights of stairs; European 3rd floor) without an elevator, which may not be suitable for all guests.
We have other accommodations in the Beacon Hill neighborhood with different profiles, so just ask.
This was our first visit and we lucked out with the nest. The location is great. Grocery and liquor stores within a 2 minute walk. Train stations nearby. Easy to walk around the beacon hill area. Very quite. Bed and shower were both great. We had every thing we needed. Dining within walking distance.
My only improvement would be to have one upholstered chair.....Not a big deal. [note from owner: we added a very nice chair based on this suggestion]
We plan on going back next year.

I had a wonderful, convenient and pleasant stay at the The Nest for two weeks during the middle of a brutal winter. The apartment had everything that I needed or I would find in a luxury hotel (e.g. Hair dryer, internet access, TV, kitchen utensils, large closet space, cotton buds in bathroom etc.). Also, it is so conveniently located, close to absolutely everything (BackBay, Tube station, Grocery store, pahrmacy etc.) that it was very efficient to get anywhere from there.
The owner (Paul) had clearly thought of every detail to ensure that "The Nest" is equipped with anything to ensure that the guest would have a pleasant stay. I did not have to ask or buy anything. Also, During the worst Boston Blizzard ever, Paul was constantly in communication to make sure I had everything I needed and felt safe.
I will certainly stay there again when I am in Boston and would strongly recommend this place to my friends. It's a great find!
The apt is exactly as advertised and the pictures are accurate. The apt is very clean, the kitchen has everything that you might need, the bed is comfortable and both the sheets and towels are good quality. I must say this is the smallest apt that I have rented (300 sq ft) but the space has been utilized perfectly and it is very cozy and comfortable without feeling too cramped. Bringing the luggage up the stairs was definitely a workout but that's not a bad thing when you are on vacation and eating more than you normally do!
The location is amazing, right in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, within walking distance to so many restaurants, several different T lines and places of interest to see. We purchased a T multi-day pass and used them everyday. So many great and fun things to do in Boston and staying right in the middle of everything was great.
Paul was very easy to work with and he answered my emails promptly. I would definitely stay here again.
A cozy, clean studio apartment with everything you need (groceries, restaurants etc). close by in the very nice Beacon Hill neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown Boston and close to the subway station at Park Street by the Boston Common Park. About 20 minutes on the subway to Fenway Park. (5 stops).
And you'll get a good workout climbing the stairs to the Nest on the 4th floor, as well as the hilly streets of Beacon Hill !
A great place to stay for 1 or 2 people if you want to be close to downtown Boston and have the conveniences you can't get with a hotel room (eg: the kitchen with full size fridge).

This studio was perfect for our romantic get away. It was within easy walking to restaurants, sights and the T stations. We had a wonderful time exploring and then returning to this cozy, comfortable, and well appointed home away from home.
We found this little gem of a studio after a lot of research online. We were really happy with the accommodations, the ease of working with the owner, the location and price were all excellent! It was like being a local Bostonian for the week! Loved it and can't wait to re-book the next time I'm back in town!
My fiancé and I loved our stay at "the Nest"! Our stay at "the Nest" will not be forgotten. During our trip, we got engaged and I ran and re-qualified for the Boston Marathon, so we definitely made some great memories at "the Nest"! "the Nest" is a quaint little studio apartment in Beacon Hill and was within walking distance of everything! A 2 minute walk to the Boston Marathon bus pick up location for runners and about a 10 minute walk from the finish line. It's right next to Boston Common, a short walk to great shopping and dining locations, such as Newbury St & Commonwealth. The location doesn't get any better! As for the apartment, it had everything we could possibly need. The guide that was provided, which had useful information on the apartment and tourist spots, was incredibly helpful. Others mention the trek up the stairs, which is a bit of a bummer (especially when carrying a 50 lb suitcase) but didn't bother us at all. Overall, I would highly recommend "the Nest" and will definitely stay there when I come to Boston again. If you choose to stay here, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.
Just 2 minute walk to Freedom Trail at front of State House and the Boston Common one way and an urban Whole Foods grocer the other; 8 minutes walk to three subway 'T' lines and quaint Charles Street; 15 minute walk you will reach Faneuil Hall, Newbury Street, the North End, Theatre District and TD Garden for events.
