Very clean, Good stay but "cottage" is misleading

I just returned from my 2-day stay at the "cottage." My business partner and I went for a 2-day business retreat to write a business plan for the upcoming year. It was a great place for this kind of activity.
Before renting, I neglected to read the sentence that said the "cottage" is actually a basement apartment, with the owners living above. Therefore, I was disappointed to find that it was indeed a basement apartment. I heard footsteps above me each morning, which woke me up. In my case, that was good, as I was on a working retreat. If I had wanted a romantic get-away, I would have been verrry disappointed. I like to have my privacy, and am not a bed and breakfast kind of person. I just felt slightly mislead about the "cottage" as it is TRULY a basement apartment.
That said, the house was extremely clean though a little dated (but who cares?), the beds were super comfy (super-soft sheets!!), the kitchen pots were super nice, and the Wi-fi worked great. The hot tub is HUGE and worth a few minutes relaxing. The showers were hot and felt great.
Overall we were pleased with our work retreat. Wesley seemed like a very nice man, and had some great dogs to pet, too.
