What a magical place Spirit Mountain Sanctuary is! We left our busy stressful lives and from the time we drove in until we left, we all felt a serenity unlike anything we have ever experienced. Our family shared the Medicine Wheel House. It is pleasant, bright, light and open with a great kitchen, big screen TV, a fine bed in the loft and the pull out couch is very comfortable to sleep on. The deck has an umbrella table and chairs, a gas grill and a view that just keeps on going.
Watching the sun rise (from the bed) over the bluish mountain ridges with the sky colors of lavender to rose to orange was breathtaking.
Our grandchildren, ages 7 and 9, had fun learning about nature and hiking around the trails. It was nice to let them run ahead and know they were in a safe place. We enjoyed cooking together, grilling out and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the campfire. The campfire brought back memories of campfires that we used to have with our children, and to share this with our grandchildren was something we will always remember.
The owners, John and Linda, were super hosts. We had an energy balancing session (awesome light feeling afterwards) with Linda and she played the singing bowls. The resonating notes were mesmerizing. John even pitched a tent and our grandson enjoyed his first time to ever sleep outside! The kids loved going to visit Max, their dog. Linda gave us strawberries from her garden and they were so sweet. John and Linda are the nicest people ever. You just feel like you are in a utopia when you are at Spirit Mountain. Our photos are amazing and really show the Spirit of Spirit Mountain. The time went by too fast and we look forward to our next visit!
