Port Sanilac Vacation Rental house

Our family, which was 24 with the kids included, had a great week at the Lake House. The house is absolutely beautiful and even with our large group there was room to be alone if you wanted to. We spent a lot of time on the back deck in the comfy chairs watching boats in the harbor and freighters go by. The gate on the deck was nice and allowed us to keep the toddlers confined. The yard was large enough for all our activities. The kids loved the beach/water being so close. We had a couple of dinners out at the beach house on the picnic tables. One night we sat around the firepit on the beach making smores. Thanks for having the firewood there for us to use.

The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of pillows and blankets. The loft has been renamed "The Sorority". It was where all the college girls slept. The bathrooms are all fantastic. The showers were wonderful or as my daughter put it "They are the best thing ever!" Only problem is that I want to redo mine at home now.

The kitchen was fun to cook in. Loved all the burners, two ovens, warming tray and warming light. We used them all. Having so many refrigerators made it so much easier and we didn't have to make as many trips to the grocery store. The local store is cute and had everything we needed. There is a Walmart in Sandusky just about 15 minutes away as well.

Downstairs is the game room/exercise room. We used the ping pong table every night. The couch in the tv area is so comfortable. You just sink in. The table down there is perfect for games.

We didn't fish but see that there is plenty of equipment in the garage. While walking on the breakwall we saw plenty of big ones jumping. We did take the boat out in the harbor. Some went for bike rides and others used the golf cart. It came in handy when taking Grandma and Grandpa around.

We also recommend Uri's Restaurant. We ordered pizza the first night there and it was really good. We especially liked they crust. i would suggest if you plan to order more than a few that you call ahead because they only make so much pizza dough a day. We took all they had and because it was the weekend it was a long wait but well worth it.

We enjoyed our vacation so much that before the week was over we decided to come back again next summer. Thanks Alix for making the whole process so easy and sharing your home. Also thank you to Scott for checking in during the week to be sure we had everything we needed.
