This is a beautiful home, on beautiful property, in a beautiful location. We rented it for a long weekend so our parents could celebrate their 50th Anniversary under one roof with all of their children and grandchildren. The owner was easy to work with and the cottage caretaker was friendly and responsive. During the day time, we played catch and frisbee in the spacious lawn, ping pong in the basement, and shot hoops in the driveway (we felt like kids again!). We enjoyed walking to the different restaurants in town for dinner and then sitting around the camp fire on the beach in the evenings. It's a very relaxing place with lots of space for everyone to spread out. This was a splurge for our family, and we feel we picked the right place for this special occasion.
Had a wonderful time at this vacation home. Lots of room for our family with family (19) to spread out. Home was clean and well maintained, modern but yet very homey and comfortable. Our group was very impressed with the quality and space provided. Loved all the finishes you chose for this home. From the stainless steel counters in kitchen, granite counters in baths and slate in showers, the showers... oh my how wonderful. Our group loves to cook so the meals we prepared were divine, fridge space for lots of food. Nice to have great laundry room for doing up cloths so not much came home dirty. LOVED having linens provided as no sheets and towels to wash when we got home. Decks and grill on back deck was perfect for grilling out. Golf cart came in handy for taking the little ones to the park down the street to swing and slide. Asked the cottage keeper for pizza recommendations for the first night yummy. IGA on the edge of town was handy for milk and banana runs. Lots of room inside house, nice back yard with soft grass for the toddlers to play and run. Beach was a bit stony so wearing sand shoes made that a great place to be as well. Sandcastles, bonfires in fire pit, water in port was calm so little ones could play and not get tossed by waves. Out side port walls the lake had waves and was great for our sea doo and tubing, beach combing if your a rock hound. Basketball hoop in cemented drive, 2 adult bikes in garage so bring kids bikes if you want to ride as a bigger group. Town itself was very quiet and pleasant to walk in and explore. Looking forward to a return vacation here in the future. Actually ready to come back now :) Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with our family.
What a perfect week of relaxation! With friends and family in from four states we couldn't have picked a better spot. The home is even better than described! More room than we could even use. From relaxing on the beach, to lawn games, to ping pong and board games in the rec room, there was never a dull moment. We even had a retro evening at the drive in theater-FUN! But, we all especially enjoyed the kitchen! As a family of foodies with four semi-pro chefs there was a fight for top chef every evening, yet plenty of room for the remaining sous-chefs to pout and help out.
THANK YOU ALIX!

House was just wonderful, plenty of room, highend, great baths, great view, great kitchen. Had plenty of room for card games, quiet time, cooking for large group. Did a scavenger hunt in town and everyone was very helpful and fun. Town is only one block away with a few shops and sports bar.
House was great, town was fun BUT owner is not pleasant to work with! Had agreed with her prior to renting the home that we would have more adults than the limit, she confirmed in writing that it was fine then backed out after the fact and kept the security deposit. Nothing was damaged, we cleaned the house down to scrubbing the fridge and cleaning/organizing the pantry! BE WARNED SHE WILL KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT WITHOUT ANY REASON AND THEN NOT RESPOND TO YOUR CALLS OR EMAILS!
Beautiful house with so many ammenties. It was perfect. We were thrilled with all the high-end fixtures/bathrooms/kitchen! The space was perfect for a large group with children.
