Across the road from the famous Artis zoo, this second floor apartment on the Plantage Middenlaan is perfectly situated to explore Amsterdam. In an area abundant in restaurants and shops (the wonderful Utrechtsestraat is only a short walk away), there is something for everyone.
A little further afield, the Palace on Dam Square, the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street and the calm of the Vondel park are all only a short bike/tram ride away. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt, or the “Negen straatjes” (9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s exciting smaller boutiques. And do not forget the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks.
