Dirty, Overpriced Condo

I stayed at this condo from 9-9-09 to 9-12-09 and was very disappointed. I contacted the owner about the problems we experienced 10 days ago, and he never e-mailed me back, which was the most disappointing thing about this whole ordeal.
When we arrived Wednesday night, the condo was filthy. There were cobwebs and spiders on the ceiling. The fridge had stains inside. There were old pieces of food, onion, stuck to the kitchen faucet. There were several hairs on the bathroom floor, inside the shower, and stuck to the side of the toilet. The living room carpet was dirty. The bottom of the shower had mildew stains- which I had to clean MYSELF. There were dozens of dead bugs in the window sills. The front door area and the balcony looked like they hadn't been swept in months, with dead bugs, spider webs, and dirt dobber nests everywhere.
The owner asked us to wash the dishes, but he didn't provide any dishwasher liquid. So, we had to go buy it. To top it off, we had to get out in the middle of the night and drive to Cedar Park b/c he didn't furnish any wash cloths for showers. I do not appreciate having to buy something that should have been at the condo- included in the rental price!!!! He also failed to mention in the rental ad that the condo has no phone- which even the most basic hotel has.
We didn't get to wash our clothes because we couldn't find the laundry room- no map of the resort was provided. The pool water was very cold, and there were dead bugs and old leaves in the pool, as well as the hot tub. The restaurant menu is limited and the food overpriced.
The view from the balcony wasn't that great, and the resort itself was highly overrated! I almost forgot to mention that the parking space for this condo is right next to a huge dumpster in the parking garage. So, everytime to get in or get out of your car- it reeks of old garbage.
The resort is out in the middle of nowhere. The closest grocery store is 20 to 30 minutes away. There are restaurants and a mall, but it takes about 45 to get over there. That's not an easy drive if you're not used to these very hilly Austin roads!
If you are used to staying at lower end motels like Motel 6, then this condo will be perfect for you. But if you stay at the midrange to upscale hotels, then look elsewhere for a nice vacation on Lake Travis.
Just some things to think about. Good Luck!!!!!
Owner's Response: We share our personal condo with others so that they may enjoy an comfortable/affordable getaway. We are not a big corporation. We do make mistakes at times. A renter called upset he did not have a TV guide. The result, I let him stay 2 nights for free! We messed up the cleaning schedule & unit was not clean on renters arrival. Result, gave them 2 free nights in another unit. Please Don't think we can just give away nights!! But when these customers were not happy and called me upon arrival we tried to make things right. This tenant stayed 3 nights and then claimed it was horrible and wanted a refund. That's like ordering a meal, eating it all, including the desert, and then say you hated it and will not pay. Please be advised that our Unit is away from the Austin hustle on Lake Travis in LagoVista, its in the Hill Country so there are winding roads leading to it, has outdoor pools with cold water (not bad considering over sixty 100 degree days in a row), Has a heated indoor pool, has the same view as in the photos, has no dishwasher soap (we provide pellets), has an onsite restaurant that may not please everyone, is a 3 building complex but really does not need a map to get around, and is 15 minutes from the grocery store. We would love to invite you to a very challenging stay at our Lake Condo!
