5 STAR SKI-IN/SKI-OUT CONDO IN HEART OF BEAVER CREEK VILLAGE

First, the owners (Jordan/Michele) are fantastic and accommodating, and their communication is great.
The condo: perfect setup for families, king master/bath is big and comfortable, 2 double-bed room on other side of condo (ie, separated from master by the living areas) with attached huge bathroom(s), and very comfortable open kitchen/dining table/living room area. I'd recommend this unit for up to 6 people comfortably (pullout couch in living rm), but not more (possibly a few small kids in a crib, on the floor). Note, although there are technically 3 baths (toilets), the second and third baths are connected and are essentially one massive bath/toilet area (tub in one area, shower in the other). Overall, the condo is laid out great and is in excellent condition -- very comfortable. Not much of a view from the windows and balcony, but that didn't bother us at all.
Facility: service at the St James was friendly and efficient, and checkin/out was a breeze. We used the common-area pool and hot tub each night, which was great. We had parked our rental car in the lot underground, and didn't use it until we had to leave -- basically can walk the village, and don't need a car unless you're staying for more than 4 days (then probably want to drive down the hill for different sights, restaurants and shopping).
Location: close access to the slopes, village restaurants and shops. St James is at the farthest end of the village (away from the slopes), but it's a very short walk to skiing. I didn't mind carrying equipment for the 3 min walk; can also rent right at the resort.
Overall, this is a great place, and we'll certainly stay there again. (for those not familiar with Beaver creek -- note that everything is very expensive)

We recently stayed at this St. James Condo unit for a second time. Previously we have stayed in other similar units at the St. James. This location is Prime for being in the midst of Beaver Creek Village. It is close to dining, shopping, entertainment within the village and transportation to the Vail Valley areas. One can easily walk to all of these activities. The unit had been previously painted and renovated; it was clean and very comfortable. The bedrooms are large and well-decorated. The mattress in the master bedroom felt that it had some wear compared to the previous year. The bathrooms are splendid with large showers and soaking tubs. The kitchen is well-equipted for those who want to cook some of their meals during their stay. The living room is filled with a comfortable leather couch and easy chairs. We did not use the gas fireplace during our latest stay due to the unseasonlly warm weather. We have used the fireplace in the past to make the living room very cozy. The entry way closet doors were partially jammed when we arrived and needed to be adjusted. There were also some burned out light bulbs within the unit. The desk staff and maintenance personnel were friendly and helpful in these matters. The hallways within the St. James were also recently renovated and reflect the quality of the St. James. Unfortunately, we only found time to use the renovated pool and spa area just once. The view from the outdoor stainless steel hot tub was great. One must take the time to use this spa and exercise area within the St. James. Garage parking is limited for larger vehicles; Suburbans with ski boxes need to park in specific areas of the garage. The condo unit allows for two vehicles to park within the heated garage. This garage is real advantage during stormy days! The owner readily responds to email requests regarding this unit. The procedure for renting his condo is very straightforward and the owner responds to one's questions regarding the unit and lease agreement. I would definitely recommend this unit to other friends and family if they are wanting to stay near Beaver Creek.

We only have positive things to say about our stay in this unit. We felt very much at home in this apartment. We are a family of four so our kids had their own bedroom and each had their own double bed. They were so comfortable it was hard getting them to wake up. The unit itself is well maintained and very clean. The St. James is wonderful and the staff is very helpful. We did not use the ammenities such as the pool since we are from Florida and even an indoor pool was too cold for our standards but there were plenty others using it. As to location, you can't beat the St. James right at the heart of Beaver Creek Village and just a few flights of stairs away from the base of the mountain. We love Beaver Creek and would definitely stay in this apartment next time we visit.
