2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 5-6)

This two story home has two bedrooms upstairs with half bath. Downstairs has one full bath with washer and dryer. All linens and towels included. Extra large kitchen with Koa table and chairs,range, refrigerator, icemaker, microwave oven, TV, DVD, with two pullout single day beds. All utensils, Tile floors,rug. Living room complete with Hawaiian rattan furniture, high ceiling, Koa staircase, ceramic tile floors. A/C. Propane barbecue, awning shade cover on driveway. Parking for four cars in secured electric gated area. Two outside showers. This cottage is located behind resident owner's home on Makaha Surfing Point. There is no direct ocean view from cottage. Great mountain view, and easy access to beach. My wife and I have lived here since 1991. We have two Golden Retriever dogs. There are 2 natural salt water ponds in the coral reef out front. This home is the closest rental property to Makaha Surfing Beach there is.

Car: not necessary

Makaha Surfing Beach has surf breaks in the winter and summer. No other break on Oahu has large wave thru out the season. An ancient Hawaiian heiau is located in the valley and Kane Cave is about 2 miles away. Our home is located on the beach at the Point. We have 2 natural tide ponds in the frontage!! The compound is electric gate entry only. Parking for 4 cars. We have volcanic mountain view from the home and sunset view on the sandy beach. Stores are only 3 miles away. Entertainment is at Kapolei 10 miles away.

Home away from home! This is the place to stay if you like the quite side of Hawaii. Close enough to Honolulu but yet miles away from the crowds. It was great. The owners are so friendly. The house was clean and stocked with everything you could possible need. The beaches are beautiful. There is a private beach right in front of their house with chairs to watch the tide role in and out. Less than 5 minute walk to Makaha where we saw sea turtles. Can't wait to go back. We have told all our friends!

This was a great place to stay and we had an excellent time. It's an easy walk to Makaha surf beach which is practically next door, but you can also access the water right out the back of the property. The property is very secure, well taken care of, and comfortable. This was our first time trying the rental home for vacation. We're sold! We'll never stay at a hotel again. We stayed here for spring break with our 3 adult children ages 21,19, & 16. They loved it. The Golden Retrievers were precious and a bonus...couldn't get enough of them. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality!
