Downtown Santa Barbara's most beautiful luxury apartment, in the heart of the entertainment district and four blocks up from the beach. French doors open to a large private deck with views of the mountains, Riviera and city outdoor fireplace and BBQ. A 'loft' style great room with cathedral ceiling includes the kitchen, dining and living areas. The fully enclosed property is a peaceful refuge in easy walking distance of the downtown restaurants, shops, music and festivities. There is gated off-street parking. Pick fresh fruit from the orange, plum and guava trees and ride provided bicycles for a beautiful relaxing holiday. A perfect romantic getaway. Maid service, in house massage and airport pick up available on request.
About Inga or Laura

My mother, Shirley, is the hero of this story as she moved out of her home to make the vacation rental income possible. She still lives in Santa Barbara and you might see her working in the garden. She' is now 92.

Inga or Laura purchased this condo in 1963
Why Inga or Laura chose Santa Barbara

This house was in such bad shape when my family rented it in the 60s that it had been condemned. They fixed it up and got it out of jail. We were able to buy it in 1993. It has been home to my brother and I, my mother and my grandparents, Nana and Papa. Papa was known to all of the children of our extended family as Papa Duck (thus the three DUX).

Wonderful First Visit To Santa Barbara

My husband and I stayed here with our 18 month old son. The accommodations were great all around. All the comforts of home! The decor and appliances are very nice, the sitting area offers a beautiful view, and the proximity to restaurants and shopping was great. Inga welcomed us when we got there and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing place Inga has! It's beautilly outfitted in contemporary decor and was so cozy and comfortable it was like being at home. Although our stay in Santa Barbara was short we took full advantage of all of the amenities including cooking our own meals and sitting by the fire pit on the balcony. The location is perfect and only a few blocks away from the main strip and about a 5-10 min walk down to the waterfront. We're already looking at dates to come back in the summer!

Fantastic apartment, location and management!

We are pleased we found this apartment-the location is fantastic, close to the beaches, harbour and main street shopping. We have issues with our internet requirements as we both work on-line and require fast and reliable wifi and happily Inga checked it out and let us know the speed and reliability. The apartment is cosy in winter with sun streaming in everywhere and they even provided extra heater which were not close to being necessary. The apartment is well equipped for a long stay and when I mentioned a small kitchen item was missing, it arrived on my doorstep same day! Great apartment, great management and lovely gardens and balcony with firepit and bbq-highly recommended! Thanks and you will see us again!

Convenient location - well run

We were here for a full month. The main strength of this place was its proximity to the downtown core. Probably 50 restaurants inside a 5 minute walk and lots of shopping. 20 minutes walk to the Granada and Arlington down State St.
The property was attended to diligently by Laura. Yard work done regularly and unobtrusively.
Some ambient noise because of its proximity - unavoidable with the 101 not far away and people returning from partying.
Kitchen well-provisioned with basics and Laura was very responsive to suggestions for tweaking things a bit - thank you.

I had the most enjoyable, month long vacation, at Inga's place. My flat was clean, comfortable and well stocked and had everything one would need for en extended stay. Located a block from State Street one could easily walk to all the restaurants and stores in the downtown area. Also if you were taking day tours the 101 was easily accessible. For the few times I needed help, Laura was there to guide me and supply me with any extra things I needed. She was like an in house concierge. I would not hesitate for a return visit.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing
